Need Help on Duplicate Content Warning

   I used to have 2 accounts here on HP. Just today, I decided to keep a single account and sent an email to Hubpages team, requesting to delete the other account. After waiting for an hour, I noticed that my first account was successfully deleted. I transferred all my hubs to this new account - I copied and pasted them all. Now, I got a warning for duplicate content. I'm a little bit worried because my hubs are now unpublished. Do I have to delete them and start  new ones with the same topic but different wordings? I just don't know what to do, please help me.

      If you do a search for the old URL you will find it - google maintains a cache of pages.  Over time that cache will disappear, but until it does the hubs will most likely be considered duplicate.
      
      Did you check for stolen copies before deleting the hubs on the old account?  If there any out there, you may have difficulty proving that yours is the original.

   I already searched the old URL of my hubs, and I can still find it through google. Do you have an idea as to how many days will google remove the old hub's URL? Still my hubs are unpublished for duplicate content. Thanks for the kind reply wilderness.

      It can take a couple of weeks or even more.  As writer fox says, though, there are ways to speed up the process.  I would definitely ask google to de-index the old URL's.

   Don't wait for search engines to recrawl the pages.  Request removal of the cache:
   
   To remove the cache of your Hubs on Google:
   
   http://support.google.com/bin/static.py … page=ts.cs
   (click inside the circle which says 'Web Search', then scroll down the page and click inside the circle which says 'A piece of content I am concerned about has already been removed by the webmaster but still appears among the search results.' Then, click on the link 'this tool.' You'll then be asked to sign in and then to enter the page URL and, if the page is still live, a word from the outdated cache page that you want to remove.
   
   To remove the cache of your Hubs on Bing/Yahoo:

   It can take 24 – 48 hours for the removal process.

      Thank you for this very detailed reply Writer Fox. I already requested google to remove the URL of my hubs. Let's see how google works. I'm going to try searching my hub's URL later, to see if google has removed them.

   Finally, google has removed the old URL of my hubs. The duplicate content warning is gone and I just published my old hubs here in my new account. I think google updated their listings within 24 hours. I'm just so happy at this very moment.
