As a brand new member of the HubPages community, I've been a little nervous about posting my first Hub. So, since it's always easier to try (most) new things in with a group, I figured I'd create my very own challenge here for other newcomers and beginners like me.

    The Challenge:
Post at least one Hub a week, every week, for the rest of the month of July.

If you're not sure how to get started, I'd advise checking out the Learning Center. I've spent a lot of time there in the couple weeks since I signed up and there is a ton of great information.

Make sure you post the link to your challenge Hubs here: HubChallenge Hub Links

    Happy "Hubbing".

    ~Shawn.

Shawn, I think this is a great challenge! I have tried the 30 hubs in 30 days challenge in the past and failed miserably. I just cannot see how anyone can  produce great quality articles in that short amount of time. One hub is much more doable for me. Good luck in your efforts!

The 30 hubs in 30 days is certainly just that - a challenge. I don't think I can do that many quality hubs and still maintain my jobs - accent on the s at the end of that last word. One day I'd like to be able to, but right now as it is, to research, compile and make "perfect", it takes me about 3-5 hours to write a hub, if I do it all in one sitting.
But! I do like the hub a week challenge! I have been trying to at least that, myself! At one point I was able to just pump them out, and was doing a few a week. These days, as mentioned before, many jobs, so less time.
But i wish you both the best of luck! and Welcome Shawn!

Yeah, I looked at the 30 Hubs in 30 Days challenge, and I'm sure that I could churn out 30 "Hubs", but there is no way I could do it with anything even approaching quality.

I'm just barely one month in to HubPages and I have published 21 featured hubs as of now.

Yay, so I've officially kicked off my HubPages tenure with my very first Hub. I can't wait to read all of the amazing Hubs from the others who have decided to take this Beginner's Challenge.

So, my second hub for the July challenge is up. If anyone is interested in joining, there is still plenty of time left to get started.

Count me in for the challenge, I've completed two Hubs myself. It appears HubPages no longer recommends one participate in the 30 Hubs in 30 days challenge.  Fewer quality hubs, that are well maintained will create more traffic in the long run.
