I got a 'violation' skull on one of my older hubs...and it says,
"WARNING: This Hub contains links to sites that may contain malicious code or are suspected to be phishing sites."
and further displays this information box:
"This hub potentially contains malicious links based on advisory provided by the Google Safe Browsing service. It remains published, but is likely to be unpublished by a moderator if you do not fix the problem. Please remove all such links from your hubs. To learn more about the problem, please visit the Google FAQ page or learn more by reviewing information at http://www.antiphishing.org/ (for phishing warnings) or http://www.stopbadware.org/ (for malware warnings)."
HOWever, when I checked the hub in edit mode...there are NO highlights to show me where or which link is suspect--so how am I supposed to know which one(s) to remove, if any, or if this warning is a glitch?
the hub in question:
http://dzymslizzy.hubpages.com/hub/Cryp … ouldWeCare
Now, it also doesn't want to let me leave edit mode--telling me that if it remains published, it may be removed. WTH??? It's as if I'm being forced to un-publish it.
This is a brand-new warning that just appeared late this evening. .... the hub has been fine all along. It's also one of my featured hubs....
The warning comes from the same malware blacklist that browsers like Firefox and Chrome use.
As @EricDockett mentioned, if you open the Hub with the problematic link, you should be able to click the triangle next to the malware warning (WARNING: This Hub contains links to sites that may contain malicious code or are suspected to be phishing sites) and see details that list the specific URL for the malware content.
You will find the URL listed below this text.
The following links may "phish" or host malware:
My browser will alert me if I try and go to a diet that has been flagged by Google as malicious, so if that was happening to me, I'd just manually check the links.
Just send an email to the team and they will tell you which link is the problem.
I just got a bunch of these warnings for the same site. The link will not be highlighted. You have to read through the warning and it will tell you which link is the culprit. I really don't remember the exact wording or if I had to click on something, but I do remember it wasn't highlighted and I didn't know which link it was until I read the warning completely.
I'm curious to hear if you think the site you've linked to might really be up to something fishy. I'm actually wondering if mine was an error, maybe even on Google's part. The site is a pretty well-respected authority on their topic and one I often refer people to for that topic. I can't imagine they'd have anything funky going on. Unless they were hacked.
Indeed. If you click the warning for the full message it states the url that is the problem.
Ok- Thanks, everyone. I got it fixed. It was a bit obscure, because the "bfro" accusation in the warning did not immediately pop out as matching anything I had. It turned out to be in a link capsule for "further information."
Strange--it was fine up until the other day..I guess the site must have been hacked.
If you are having problems finding a link in a Hub, you can view the source (right click--> View Page Source) and search for the URL. That sometimes is a far faster way to find it then looking at the rendered Hub.

I've got the "Overly Promotional" red skull of doom on my top trafficked hub.Naturally it was the first one I edited. The affiliate links and "overly promotional" warnings at the top of the hub went away in the workshop. I republished it last night, and it's still published...

On my hub `Top 20 Famous Redheads In History' I have the violation `Links to Malware or Phishing sites'. The hub was published 7 months ago and I haven't added any links since then. When I go into edit mode, there isn't a message to tell me which link is supposed to be the bad one. I haven't had an...

I've just noticed the dreaded red skeleton on four of my hubs. When I checked to see what the violations were, it says that at least 3 of our fellow hubbers have violations on their, I guess, website. Not sure what this means. Can someone please explain all of this to me.
