Many people blame parents and society for their troubles. However, once we become adults, it is time to realize that our parents have done the best that they knew how. Furthermore, once one becomes an adult, he/she must look beyond the parental/familial purview and establish his/her sense of self, realization, and life. It is also futile to continue to blame society for one's woes. Do you agree that many people continue to blame parents and society in order to avoid assuming responsibility for their own lives?
Just blame video games. Clearly that has always been the root of humanity's ills.
Untrue. Pong was a good game. It really went downhill with PacMan, Asteroids and Space Invaders, though.
Uh, excuse me, those were *my games. I was the greatest space invaders player of all time. How dare you sir!
I dare because you were not the best. Second best, perhaps, but not the best.
You don't know.
I just found my favorite childhood house from when i was a kid...

Apartments now stand in stead of my childhood home.
Aw, what a bummer. It made me totally nostalgic to see that house again. All my best memories are there. It reminds me of Christmas and a few of my happiest memories.
Mine is still there, but the big field out back, the one with the fantastic fort (empty car body) on it, is gone. Turned into 3 more houses now, with the magic of the back lot gone forever. The apple tree a young boy fell out of is still there, but the tree house (small flat platform) is gone. The giant Boxelder trees in the front are long gone as well.
Time destroys as it creates.
Sure I know. I know because I was the best!
One has to wonder, is there an online version where a match can be held between you? Can it be viewed live by others? Is betting legal? This could be big!
It's been 30 years... holy cow. How is that possible? I'm only 22.
Strong anti abortion argument, what with you mastering Space Invaders so far in advance of your birth.
And that's why you can only be second best. Never had a chance at the original, superior game.
Your overlooking the unique feminine capacity for stalling on a selected birthday, in perpetuity. I believe Beth has some experience at being 22, or has some 'splainin' to do. Just ask her kids.
Hmm. My wife has been known to have the same skill.
But it matters not - it was a well known fact 30 years ago that women did not belong in space, could not understand space and could not rid the world of space invaders.
So...second best again.
I conquered space when I was only 15.... I was probably more like 13 now that I think about it. You attempted it as a full grown adult. The fact that I could do what you did as not only a child, but a female, pretty much declares me the superior alien slayer.
Or did such a precocious brat simply frighten them away?
I have to admit, though, that you have pretty well solidified your second place.
Them's fightin' words. If I had a pair of gloves on me I'd slap your cheek and duel at dawn.
You're lucky I can't find my slapping gloves.
I'm too far away. And I run fast, too.
And, worst of all, have misplaced my phaser/blaster!
75% of the take. And 10% of all bets. That's a minimum.
The best always gets the most, you know.
I could hold my own at Space Invaders, but Asteroids was my game. I could play as long as I wanted on a single quarter and give the game to someone else with a dozen ships saved up when I grew bored. Simpler times.

Space Invaders Have Attacked My Hubs!First there was EditBot, then came EditBot Comments. I literally feel like I'm playing Space Invaders every time I open My Account now. It's highly distracting, and when I "uncheck" the unwanted corrections, these Robots should Go Away! At what point...

Do you still have the Space Invaders stalking you?It annoys me no end to see EditBot marring my page under "Accounts". Yesterday I went through each hub [admittedly I dont have hundreds like some of you] and ticked or unticked each 'error' as I saw fit. I still dont think I...

Why is so many grown adults children attacking their parents?I wish I had the answer to this question,

I was reading an article about an Astrobiologist from Cardiff University a Professor Chandra Wickramasinghe claiming that microbes from outer space arrived to Earth with the aid of comets and these may very well potentially be the seeds that instigated life.
