While there are genuine psychics(0.001%), the rest are fake and use their "psychic ability" to make money and to prey upon the more gullible and insecure.

Yes, psychics are frauds. But, demons are also not real and the Oujii board is not a direct line to Satan, it's just a board game.

Not so!  I've heard too many stories about people using them and the freaky occurrences that followed!

wildernessposted 10 years agoin reply to this

Do you also collect the stories about people using them and absolutely nothing untoward happens?  And the stories about people playing Monopoly and Old Maid and the freaky occurrences that followed those games?

And then do you put it all together and figure out that nothing happened that doesn't happen on a daily basis?

Or did you just collect specific stories that fit into and supported the idea that a Oujii board is evil while ignoring any real analysis of the question?

Yes, children who play with them believe they have freaky occurrences that follow. But then, freaky occurrences occur all the time while playing board games, or while eating a pizza, driving down the road, even when we're sleeping.

"Demons are not real" ? Do you mean that they don't exist in this reality or don't exist at all. Do you have scientific proof that "demons are not real" or is that just your opinion, based on what?

      1. wilderness profile image95
wildernessposted 10 years agoin reply to this

There is only one known reality.  It does not include demons, by any definition I am aware of.

Of course, if "demon" means "plant with chlorophyll" instead of "supernatural creature of Satan from another universe" all bets are off.

        1. tsadjatko profile image65
tsadjatkoposted 10 years agoin reply to this

Only one known reality? Really and what do you cite as evidence that there is only one known reality? Or is that just your personal opinion? based on what? BTW I was asking the question of  EncephaloiDead since "it" has no profile from which to ascertain anything about 'it' . Maybe he/she can answer my question which you have not even begun to answer, but nice try.

Can you show me another reality?  No?  Has anyone, ever, shown you another reality?  No?  Has anyone, ever, shown anyone else another reality?  No?

Then there must be only one known.

Well that is very profound reasoning - can you show me a planet with life on it?  No?  Has anyone, ever, shown you another planet with life on it?  No?  Has anyone, ever, shown anyone else another planet with life on it?  No? well I guess by YOUR reasoning none exist.
100 years ago you'd have said it is impossible to travel to the moon using your method of proof back then..can you show me anyone who went to the moon? No?  Has anyone, ever, gone to the moon?  No?  Has anyone, ever, shown anyone else they went to the moon?  No?
Before technology advanced the same could have been said of galaxies beyond our solar system, existence of bacteria, people flying in jets - or of any new discovery that may be made in the future - they just don't exist in your realty?
Really?all you can muster is if no one has seen or heard of anyone experiencing something it doesn't exist? I guess my professors forgot to include that principle in the definition of science and scientific thought. I don't know why because it is a pretty convenient way of justifying anything one says without an ounce of proof.

You must be hard of reading.

It's perfectly true - there are no other planets known to have life.

See that little word "known" in the middle?  It means we do not know of any.  It does NOT mean there aren't any, just that we don't know of any.

From my first post: "There is only one known reality.".  Everything I have said indicates we know of nothing else.  No other reality is known, not that there is no other reality.

Nice try - I'll play your game, so what is your proof there is no other known reality? - do you claim to know what everyone in the world knows? You are so twisted.

wildernessposted 10 years agoin reply to this

I don't need proof there is no other reality, mostly because I didn't say there wasn't.  I don't care, either, as I cannot think how this reality could ever mesh/affect/be affected by any other reality.

I don't know all the knowledge of the world; only a fool would think that.  But I would have thought that if anyone had ever found another reality, and could prove it to exist, it would be common knowledge.

Based on the fact demons have never been shown to exist.

Until we can actually find a ghost to communicate with, I can't see a reason to think psychics are doing so.  After all, 100% of the seances that have been checked for fraud have failed.

Oh look, you too can purchase from Toys R Us for $22.99, a direct line to Satan that glows in the dark. How hot is that, folks.

Why is that sick? Surely it's only 'sick' if people could actually contact malevolent supernatural being by it - which nobody has been able to demonstrate and record on film - unless you can point me to a youtube video.

Which brings up a host of other questions too. Why would a demon prefer to be contacted by a ouija board rather than say a circle of sticks and black chicken or SMS text message? Why do people think a ring of salt protects their homes from demons; are demons really scared sh!tless by sodium chloride?

Putting a link to your post at Bubblews is a good way to drum up more views, plus more pennies added to your bank there. Rather than writing the article for Bubblews, you could have put it on HP to receive residual income over time -- just a thought.

Are psychics real? Some do have an inherent gift of seeing/clairvoyance, etc. However, the ones who charge extraordinary fees are there just for the money and not really helping people.

I agree with you.  And yes, putting a link to my site at Bubblews was a good way to get people to read my post, but mostly, I just didn't feel like re-typing it all over again.

I doubt anyone will read it.

But HP moderators will take it down when they see it - self promotion is not allowed in the forums.  Do it enough times and they will take your account down as well.

My apologies.  Perhaps you will now put up another dozen or so self promoting links?  Just to see if I know what I'm talking about?  Certainly a "jerk" would never give accurate advice...

Lybrah, it is a good idea to heed the words of someone who knows what he is talking about. Promoting your own work, especially on other sites, is not a good thing to do in HP forums. Wilderness is pointing out the rules. If you read the TOS / FAQ you would understand what he is saying. Also, attitude is what can make or break your reputation on any site.

"Some do have an inherent gift of seeing/clairvoyance, etc". Who or by what means are these gifts distributed? Is it God, demon, or genetic inheritance?
