RESOLVED: Isolated Hub showing not published on Facebook

    I've been away for some time but just published a new Hub. A poem to be exact which I would love to share on my Facebook.

    Whenever I copy the link to my Facebook, I get a text saying the Hub is unpublished? It's not pending anymore and all my other Hubs work perfectly by copy and paste their link.

    What am I doing wrong? I published it yesterday. Do I need to wait for some kind of approval?

          Looks like it's a Facebook caching issue. For some reason, Facebook is saving an older (unpublished) version of your Hub. Right now we're trying to see if there's anything we can do to make FB recheck the Hub.

            It would be strange for Facebook to know about saving another version of my Hub because I never published the Hub more than one time. Only after reviewing my Hub many times, I decided to publish it and hit the Facebook like button.

            I noticed afterwards for checking it out on Facebook that the button didn't work either. Their was no notification about my activity on Facebook for liking my Hub. I unliked my Hub yesterdag to see if this would help but I see now the issue is not yet resolved.

            I'm puzzled though by the Facebook caching issue. An older unpublished version I know nothing of? I hope there is a way to resolve the issue, if not I might have to start a new Hub with the same content and republish?

              If you tried to post the Hub while its status was still pending, that may be causing the issue. We're doing our best to get it figured out, but it looks like the error is on Facebook's end and we're not sure yet if there's anything we can do. Thanks for being patient!

                Correct. I tried to post the Hub while pending but I wasn't aware of the fact that that's not possible. It seems to be an issue on Hubpages end too for not being able to copy paste a simple URL, because it's still pending.

                I never had problems with this before when posting a Hub on Facebook, right after publishing it on Hubpages. The share button for Facebook worked much better than the Like button of today and if the error is on Facebook's end because of the 'pending issue' here, I think they can't help that at all.

                This new development on Hubpages prevends me from copy pasting a simple link to Facebook meaning I'm not the only one with this problem I assume. Anyone would like to share it's Hub asap to his FB page without second guessing the fact that his Hub is still pending.

                I am still patient yes but I'm also seeing the problem is on two ends. Something that used to be simple isn't simple anymore which is too bad because I like Hubpages.

                  The best practice is to wait until your Hub has been evaluated by the QAP and is featured, and then share the Hub.  Until the QAP process is complete, the Hub may not be featured and the URL may no longer be valid.
                  The issue could be that Facebook saw the URL as not live the first time it saw it and only updates or checks if URLs are valid again periodically, so waiting until it is featured may help avoid this issue again.

      As Christy mentioned, we have confirmed the issue with one of your Hubs and are looking into it.
      We just wanted to make sure that it is isolated.
      If this issue is affecting more than one Hub, please let us know all of the problematic URLs.
