I just inserted an Amazon capsule at the bottom of an existing hub, but can't get it to upload anything. I've tried inserting the ISBN number, the URL, and a keyword set for all categories. Nothing works. Any idea what's causing it?
Here's the URL of my hub:
http://hubpages.com/hub/Make-It-Rain-in-the-Desert
I have an older Mac that runs OS X and uses a Safari browser. I just checked other hubs with Amazon capsules too, and tried to add one to my new hub, but none of them work.
Sometimes the product is listed on the site, but not available via the Amazon product API. Can you share the specific ISN and/or the URL for the product listing in Amazon?
Watergeek,
I can see the Amazon ad you have at the bottom in that hub, the one for "rain - PS3 [Digital Code]" It works fine for me. Is that the one you are talking about?
However, the one above the last video says "No Amazon products found"
Is that one on your hub a Kindle download? If it is, I think it may fail to display in an HP capsule when the ebook author has opted to allow free borrowing for Amazon Prime customers. I'm not sure if I'm right about that, but it seems to be the case where I had the same experience with those types of Kindle ebooks.
The last capsule was a test capsule (I just deleted it). The one above the video was supposed to be a musical DVD. I had the URL listed, but just changed it to the product code: B0090XLDKY
Can you see it now? Also, is there a chance that AdBlocker might be stopping me from seeing Amazon's results? I just installed it the other day and don't know how to use it yet.
Yes I can see that one now… it's for "Singing in the Rain". Specifying by product code took care of one problem. If you still can't see it, then maybe your Add Blocker is the other problem, as ilikegames suggested.
Hey watergeek,
I saw a thread about a week ago where the reason for this was indeed Adblocking software. Disable it and you should be able to see the Amazon module working fine.
You don't have to completely disable your adblocking plugin. With AdBlock Plus you can open up blockable items and disable the specific filter that is blocking Amazon ads from appearing. Personally I like using Adblocking software because then I don't have to worry about clicking on my own ads by mistake.
That worked! I went to the "Customize" section of AdBlock and added Hubpages as a domain that I didn't want blocked. Now I can see all the ads, my own Amazon ones, included. Thanks everyone!
I'm having the same issue. I can't get a video and and You Tube song to load. Also I can't type any words in my picture capsules. I haven't written a hub in a long time. What am I doing wrong? I see the videos could have something to do with ad blockers. But that doesn't explain why I can't type my source for pictures or explain about them.
Video could be related to Adobe Flash issues.
Are you using Internet Explorer 11 in Windows 7?
Does the issue persist if you use a different browser like Firefox or Chrome?
Hi Matthew,
I tried again on Google Chrome and it worked out. Thanks for the answer though.

I'm trying to insert an Amazon URL for a specific product. When I put in the URL and save the capsule, the capsule on the Hub says: "Amazon is not providing us a price for this item. Therefore it can not be displayed."Yet, the product is live on Amazon with a price. How can I...

I was totally dismayed to learn that Ad-Blocking software is used by 41% of people. (The statistic appeared in "The Week" magazine.) That reduces impressions. We get 60% of views, but only 59% of those views yield ad impressions so only 35% of our views gives us earnings. If you get 1000...

Is anyone else experiencing this? I can't see any of my amazon capsules. Is there a reason for this? Hubpages glitch or did I do something?

I cannot get Amazon to work for me. I have an account on Amazon. On Amazon there is even a control strip to add products to a page! But I cannot get anything to show on here. I add a URL, the thing is blank. I use a keyword, blank. In fact, I can put a title and a description into that capsule and...

Had never done a “sales” hub before so decided to try. Have tweaked and tweaked this hub but it still keeps on being not featured due to quality. Getting a little T’d . . . http://geminifox.hubpages.com/hub/Green … t-Friendly- Have every single one of the “goal” (attributes) boxes ticked off...

I am not seeing any ads on my Hubs. Is there something I've done wrong? There used to be ads.
