This site has taken hubbers who wrote about Bubblews and posted snippets of their hubs and parts of the comments on those hubs.  The hubbers are:

    billybuc
    me - Mary McShane
    Ms. Dora
    Rajan Jolly

The site is operated by Ganesha College and here is the link:

    http://www.ganeshaprivate.com/search/la … billybuc+-

I wrote to them yesterday and received no response.

I am now writing to CNN because one of their writers uploaded two of my hubs to their Health section. This is getting exhausting. I have neglected my hubs because of tracking down sites who republished (stole) my work.

If any of you want to do anything about Ganesha College, there is the info.  Good Luck.

The site has uploaded over 50+ hubbers work

If that link doesn't work on Chrome, try this one.

Here is what to do to get your stuff off their site. I'm in the process of doing it now.

Hi mary, I just clicked on them, the first site gives links to billybucs, most of his anyway but they don't work when they get clicked on there, and the others seem to lead straight back to hubpages. not sure about those, but definitely give the old heave ho to the first one!

That's part of a search feature from Yahoo.  It gives the Description Tag (Summary) of the Hub and then a link to the Hub.  When you click on the link, it goes to the Hub on HP.com.  Nothing to worry about.

ganeshaprivate.com is Hosted by Rumahweb Indonesia CV

The site is hosted by Rumahweb Indonesia.  You can file take down requests on this form:
      http://support.rumahweb.com/index.php?/ … RenderForm

Begin your request with this exact wording and then use the standard DMCA verbiage:

"Pursuant to 17 USC 512(c)(3)(A) of U.S. Copyright law and the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works, to which Indonesia is a signatory, this communication serves as a statement that:"

Thank you Writer Fox, and thanks for the link and advice. I'm very upset.
I'm going to have to make a list and put them all on it because the list is getting long. I just got done with 2 of my hubs being copied last week. And today I thought I'd do my weekly check and see what came up.  The articles have been taken long ago but didn't show up in my search until today. I don't know why. But there are 8 hubs that have been taken as well as one blog entry from my partner's Civil War blog which I co-author.
Since I put this up in forum, and started working on these, I came across this crap site disparaging my name.

They were never my first "go to" site to look for scams, so I don't put a lot of credence in what they say. I just wanted my name off the site. They won't take my name off it, so I'm moving on to other sites.
Right now, I'm working on CNN whose reporter copied 2 of my hubs that I've found so far.

Oops, I deleted my last comment before I knew you had replied to it. I deleted it because I don't know a lot about scam adviser, so I thought maybe my comment was hasty. Still, I think you're right not to put credence in that site, I don't consider them completely credible.

How do you search for your work out there? How do you find out when someone has lifted your work?

      1. Mary McShane profile image78
Mary McShaneposted 10 years agoin reply to this

        @mbwalz
I usually just put in my hubpages address and anyone who linked to it will come up in the Google search results.  But when I see traffic dropping on certain hubs, I highlight a few sentences of the first, third or fifth paragraph and put it in the Google search box.  Any site that has the exact wording comes up in the first few results. Any site that has similar wording shows under that. Any site with certain words or phrases comes under that.  I usually only get concerned with the exact wording sites, because when I go look at their page, I usually find my whole article there.

Get in the habit of putting your own name in the Google search box at least once a week (if you are active online) or once a month (if you are not as active) and see where your name shows up. You might be surprised to find you listed as a source for someone (I have 4 who did that which I just found this morning).  It is good to know where your name is being bandied about and where your work is being copied.  Good luck.

Thanks Mary! Putting my name in is time consuming because there's a politician in a neighboring state who comes up many, many times before me. But I'll try with the text!

I have the same problem. There is an artist by the same name as me and I get a lot of her stuff mixed in with mine. If I enter in Google's search box: marymcshane.hubpages.com  I see every hub I published -- plus every hub that was copied to another site!!
If I just put in marymcshane (like that) I see different results, that are usually mine and rarely the artist with the same name.

So put in Google's search box - mbwalz.hubpages.com name to see if only your hubs come up in results and then just put in mbwalz without the hubpages.com part and see if only your hubs show up in results.   Check them both like that every once in a while.

I find that highlighting text from my hubs is the best way to see if they have been copied anywhere. Sometimes thieves are so stupid they leave my name on the article and use my title too!  So I will usually put the title of my hubs in Google's search box after I search highlighted text.  Often I find much different results.

Good luck and I hope you don't find any surprises. smile

This is another forum I posted over 25 hubbers whose work has been copied to another website. I posted their names, the articles that were stolen, when, and who took it.
Please check to see if your name is on the post.
