There was a forum thread created 21 months ago on the above topic. It asked that comment replies follow the original comment they referred to as in these forums. A HP staff member MickiS agreed it was a good idea and would refer it to the tech team. She said it was being looked at as were other improvements to introduce over the next year. I was wondering if we could get an update on this suggestion.
Jodah, if you reply directly underneath each comment, that's the way they appear. If you have more than one comment to address at a time, leave the hub after the first comment and come back in for each successive one.
Yes bravewarrior, that's what I've had to do. For the last week I have only been able to reply to one comment at a time unless I group all replies together, as after the first I don't have any reply buttons on each comment (only approve or deny). You used to click 'approve' and get a 'reply' button, now I don't. I have to leave the hub and come back to make each separate reply.
Yep, me too. It would be nice if we didn't have to do that.
Oh, yes, that is what I have always had to do, Jodah. I see an email pop in and click on it and it takes me to my hub and I comment, but sometimes there are more than one comment. So, after I make the one comment to one person's comment, I have to scroll back up to the top and click on my Faith Reaper name so it will take me back to my profile page, or I can just click on the comment I just made ...on my name, and it will take me back to my profile page and then I have to click on the hub again, and do this over and over for each comment I make. It has always been this way, that I know of, and I have been on here for almost two years. It would be great if once we commented, another comment space would automatically open up so we would not have to go back to our profile pages to make another comment! I see where others just lump all of their comments in one comment space to all commenters. I feel like I need to comment individually to each commenter, but that is just me.
Wow Faith. I am amazed, because I have never had to do that before, only in the last week. I have always been able to accept and reply to each comment separately until now.
Wow, I am amazed too LOL ... geez, I just thought it was the norm! And I have always thought, there has to be an easier way! LOL Maybe because you have been on HP longer and you were grandfathered in the old way, but now you have been converted to the new way? But if Sha says she has to do it the way I have to do it always too, then something somewhere is not right for sure.

First, I want to say I think hubpages has made a lot of positive improvements to the comments features and has allowed hubbers to manage comments more easily now that we can approve and reply to all comments from our accounts page. The one change to this feature I would like to see is ensuring our...

I'm sure there are many reasons for and against responding to comments left by your readers. What do you think?

Do you reply back to each person who leaves a comment on your hubs? Please explain the reason why you do or do not. I am wondering if I need to do this or not since I have noticed that some folks do this pretty faithfully.

There seems to be a problem posting comments on HubPages. I am only able to answer one comment at a time before I have to go back to the email notifications to answer another on the same Hub. Is anyone else experiencing this problem. It is not something I have ever...

Do you find that leaving comments and replying to them increases your stats, or does it take you away (time wise) from writing hubs?
