How does one create a fan page on FB?

   I have heard people talk about creating fan pages on FB but have no idea how to do so.  I'm not terribly familiar with that site, so any help will be appreciated.

   When you have created an account on FB, you can find on the bottom it is written 'create a page' or else use this link- https://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php?ref=br_tf
   
   From here you can pick up the options as desired by you. Hope this helps

   It's easy, but FB recently made some significantly horrible changes which will effect your readership. It's all about making a buck these days, and they want more. Good luck!

   It is actually realy simple. Go under your profile and select create Page. Pick a category, name and paste website URL if you have one. But as sasspihole said, even if you get enough fans, it is not neccesary that they will see your new posts on FB page.

      I thought creating a page was just for businesses.  Also, what are the changes they made that can affect viewership?

         Time: Pages can be created for businesses, a single product, and people among other things. I have one I created in the hopes of interacting with people who have read my books. I chose to create it as my "Author" page, but I could've also chosen to make it about only one book in particular. No matter what topic you choose to feature on your page, you'll have to "sign" a statement saying your an "authorized representative" of that person, product, or organization. They try to avoid the creation of unauthorized fan pages run by people not know to the other person etc.

   You can create one for personal blog.
   
   Your posts no longer show up on your followers newsfeed unless they interact and comment on page consistently. They also have to click "get notifications." You do have the option of "boosting the post" for five bucks or more, but thats the only way its guaranteed to show up in feed.
   
   They got greedy. I'm still trying to figure it out myself.

         Yeah... Not sure if it works on personal pages or not, I rarely use mine anymore. I was talking with a friend today who said she "liked" my page but never gets any updates in feed. I'm hoping enough people complain that they'll change it, but it's not looking good. Lots of angry folk out there.

      Facebook has gotten even greedier. They now want $6, not $5. I am wondering if it is work the work any longer.

      Sassy:  XP is a windows operating system that will be discontinued in terms of updates and support on April 8.  If you have a PC and have XP on it, you either have to upgrade your operating system or purchase a computer that has Windows 7 or above on it.  Microsoft has created a big mess by doing this, and I am right in the middle of upgrading one computer and trading out another on one with MS7 on it.  If you do not do this, eventually hackers will be able to access your info much more easily...so this is a change that must happen.  Costly and a LOT of work!
