Hi there.
I have interacted with community members through writing thoughtful comments and feedback on various topics. Almost, all the comment were initially approved.
But today, I found that all my comments are unapproved without any notification and are not visible on hub page.
Can anybody tell me why this happened and how to recover from this. All my comments were genuine and lengthy too (200-300 words). Also, I was upgraded to Level-2 Commenter, still I found all my comments disappeared today.
By "comments" I assume you mean "hubs". Typically hubs should be 500 to 2000 words with pictures, polls,a video and more. They also must be in understandable English and formatted correctly. There is much to learn in the FAQ's and learning center pages.
My guess is that your 'comments' were regarded as spam. Did you use the comment section to promote the online university you mention in your profile?
Not always, but a few times I used to place the URL as Name and signature.
When someone leaves a URL in a comment it's an invitation to leave the site if it is outwardly directed. As writers, our objective is to keep people on the site to keep reading our work. Perhaps the moderators see your comments as self promoting which is not allowed. You can write them and ask for specifics on your situation.
Anyone who left multiple hundred-word comments on my Hubs, especially with an embedded URL, I would immediately flag as a spammer. Unfortunately for you, the behavior you are modeling has long- been co-opted by people trying to get traffic from anyone and anything.
If enough users of the HubPages system mark your comments as spam, the system will tag your account as such, and any new comments you try to make will also be handled as spam.
Sadly, by leaving a URL in comments, and because the entire focus of your account is the same promotion of that one website, you are going to have a really hard time convincing users and admin here that you aren't a spammer.
Yadav SK: Sorry I misunderstood your post. Lengthy comments are not appropriate. Four or five sentences should be enough to tell the hubber that their work is appreciated and liked.
Adding additional information on the subject may make the hubber feel intimidated and would be considered spam.
But, previously approved comments also got Un-approved today. And that is the main thing I am concerned about.
It is possible that enough of you posts got marked as spam that they all went in the spam filter.
Some people (like me) have the comments section set so that all comments are posted at the time the responder submits a comment. Your comment will appear, but if the hubber reads the comment later and decides it's spam or something, they can then delete it. I'm thinking that's why you may have a lot of comments be posted right away and then they disappear later.
I never knew that... see, you learn something everyday if you take the time to listen and to read...

I am not looking to name names here as this happens quite a lot on Hubpages, but can someone please clarify whether or not it is against the rules for a Hubber to come to your hub, leave a comment and then include a link to one of their own hubs as a part of that comment. I know it says under each...

For years I have been diligent about responding to questions left on my hubs. But now I've discovered comments are being published on my articles without appearing in my Comments section, so I look like I'm rude and ignoring readers who go to the effort of writing.Today I spent ages waiting for...

so how do you feel about people who write hubs accept the comments and don't reply to them? I find myself doing that about 80% of the time because I run out of things to reply. also because I am a bit lazy. also because I wonder if you comment how you would know whether I reply or...

If I am not wrong comments were moderated before we were given the chance to view them and choose to accept or deny it, at least in case of unregistered users. Am I wrong in thinking this was the case and it was just something on QnA?If it was, is this no longer the case?I have been getting a lot...

Why do people post hubs without a comment section?Every now and then I come across hubs with no comment section. Are these the result of simple oversight, or perhaps people not familiar with the various elements you can add to hubs? Or do they just not want to interact? It seems odd... blogs and...
