    Here's my gripe.
I'm UK based & hubpages is a US program

If i use your amazon hubpages program it only advertises in dollars and amazon.us content.

To maximize its use in the european theatre we need your capsules to display uk £ prices or euro prices especially if we have already altered our amazon affiliation program setting to Amazon.co.uk

Can you make so our advertising is in £ please????

if hubpages did this itself we'd both make money and hubpages would get its cut. Otherwise all uk hubbers may as well switch sites which is a shame as we prefer hubpages style.

    Help!

The only Amazon store and affiliate program supported is the US and we have no current plans to include any additional stores or programs.

Many times items in the UK store are available in the US.

We suggest searching the US store and finding items that are directly related to your Hub content and featuring those items from the US store in your Hubs.

The UK Amazon, and in fact every single different country's version of Amazon, are entirely standalone programs.  HubPages can't show prices in British pounds because the company is not a member of that program.  (Sorry to report, they've declined every past plea for them to do so in the history of HubPages)

It goes a bit further than just the currency. I'm also based in the UK, if I wanted to order one of the books advertised on a hubber's page, clicking on the link takes me to the US Amazon site. I wouldn't want to order from there because 1. the cost of shipping is greater, 2. I'd have to pay import duty when it gets delivered (yes  - everything over about 15 dollars is liable to import duty in the UK, payable on deliver otherwise you don't get your delivery - I learned this the hard way) 3. It'd take ages. So - I will break the link and go straight into Amazon.co.uk and order it there to avoid steps 1 to 3. However, the hubber gets no payment, neither does HP. This - I've kinda realised, means its more beneficial for non-US writers to set up a hub/blog elsewhere if you are hoping to earn something. My tuppence worth!

I'm also based in the UK, but almost all visitors to my hubs are from the US, so advertising/selling products available from Amazon UK would do me no good at all!

For the sake of my tiny percentage of visitors from elsewhere, I'm not sure it would be worthwhile to offer the option of ordering from stores other than Amazon US.

Well, its pretty obvious that my uk based market is of no use on hubpages, so that one hub, it will have to go elsewhere. However my other hubs are going to be more universal!
So they'll fit in with the us market more.

    You live & learn.
