I thought I would post this as I often find that I post only when something negative is happening. So, for today, I am happy because my traffic is really doing well.
Hi Brie, that's great news, you deserve it. You are so diligent in writing and supporting the community. I am delighted to here this good news!
Your traffic should be rising, you write great stuff.
Wow, what a sweet heart you are! Thanks "Old Poolman"
Awesome! I am not surprised as you write thought-provoking and interesting articles.
Yay! That is awesome. Well done! Hard work should be rewarded and it looks like it's going well for you Good inspiration for new Hubbers like me too!
Congrats on your traffic increase! If you don't mind me asking is it to specific hubs that your traffic has increased or across the board?
Also is the traffic coming from any particular places, such as pinterest or is it search traffic?
Thanks!
Well, it seems to be google. Here's what happened. My traffic started going up after not doing very well for quite awhile..so when I saw that it was going up it encouraged me to start writing more. At the same time, someone pointed me to PicMonkey. I had fooled around with PicMonkey before but for some reason had a hard time with it and now I had no problems so I started spicing up my photos. Then the whole thing really started ramping up. I was getting maybe 300 views, now I'm getting over 2,000 with occasional dips below 2,000 over the weekends. I also started revamping the articles that I had written before, updating them, updating the photos.
It's been great I hope it keeps up. I had gotten very discouraged about a year or so ago when we got panda slapped and I saw all my hard work just get waylayed. It's amazing what a little encouragement will do.
Thanks for the insight Brie. I haven't heard of PicMonkey before but I must look into it.
It's the bomb! I think it's really helped my photos stand out. Also, picmonkey makes it super easy to write on your photos which in turn makes them more acceptable on pinterest (which then drives traffic back to your page). I've totally revamped almost all my pictures..not an easy task when you have over 200 articles.
This picmonkey you introduced to us as traffic magnet, I hope our subdomain will not be penalized by Google later. Congratulations!

Listening to Republicans talk, it is all gloom and doom, but that obviously is just partisan. Thanks for showing the silver lining behind the dark cloud.

How to get trafficI know this is a loaded Question, but I am looking for a simple answer. I am fairly new to Hub pages and the Forums all have different advice for the increasing traffic question. The most popular answer is backlinks, and I understand backlinks, but Im not sure how to get them....

I have been advising people to use the free text editor, Picmonkey.com, for years. Today I went on the site to rework a photo, and after I did, the site would not allow me to down load it. Seems they now want everybody to pay a fee for use. Anybody else having this problem? ...
