New sport: watching our transferred lens scores rise from the basement after we edit them into proper hubs.
Yesterday, I edited two lenses that had fallen down into the low 50s since transferring the night before. They've both moved up slowly since late yesterday afternoon, sliding up through the 60s, and now moving up through the 70s.
I might just make myself a bowl of popcorn, and sit here hitting the refresh button...
I'm in the same boat. It is gratifying to see the scores rise though daunting in the extreme trying to fix over a hundred. I think I may join you in the popcorn and try to get a spirits boost between edits by checking scores.
Just for grins, this morning, I edited the one that was lowest ranked. It was one of my most popular articles at Squidoo, and was ranked in the low 40s. After editing, it's moved up three points so far.
I'm telling you, this show is addicting...
And yet, there is a floating banner which comes with this sport which reads "this way lies madness..." Don't watch so long that it no longer is amusing.
I'm also expecting a score shakeout when the final grace period ends and the full filtering runs.
When I start whacking the side of my monitor, and screaming, "COME ON!", I'll know it's time to walk away.
At any rate, this is a much happier thing than watching the scores of the unedited imports fall.
I'm having fun with it too. One lens that never got traffic on Squidoo is at the top up my list. I have not idea what it means but it's entertaining. One of them has two red up symbols. That's kinda cool. It's going to take a while to understand this whole system.
I've been cheating a bit to get those multiple red up symbols. As I edit and republish, I'm posting them to my various Facebook groups, and to Pinterest, saying they've moved, and have newly added content (as many of them required). Then it's a veritable dogpile on those hubs.
relache - if the lenses (opps) hubs are already edited, aren't they going through the full filtering?
I have the same question. I assumed that once I hit that edit button, my imported lens was now a hub, and subject to the same scrutiny as any other hub. Is this not the case?
Yes, they are.
But I STILL expect that the whole system will settle a little after the grace period ends because obviously there are some some sections being sequestered and treated differently right now. And there will be a significant amount of content which comes over and isn't edited or updated.
Everyone here in the forums talking and sharing info is a super user of this system. Not an average user.
Because I answered a question in the QA yesterday about how many active users were on HubPages, I did the math. Number of hubs divided by active users was about 14.5 hubs per user.
I think that means for every relache, there are 20 people who have never written a hub.
Is three still the limit after getting out of boot camp Relache?
If so I might not get them all edited before the four months limit, as there are some days I don't get enough time, that means I need to do more than three a day.
The limit does NOT apply to Hubs which you are editing which were transferred from Squidoo. It only applies to brand new Hubs published.
I have a couple hubs now in the 90s and a number of them in the 80s. I'm excited LOL
Excellent! I've been watching one I edited this morning go from 55 to 80. That is some fine freaking editing there, if I do say so myself.

We just wanted to remind Squidoo authors who have migrated to HubPages, that the moderation grace period will end January 15th, 2015 at 12 noon PT.Hubs will be gradually moderated in phases and as such some may be affected before others. This blog post shares helpful information related to some...

I am starting this suggestion here in hopes that staff will see it. Many of us have suddenly found large numbers of our hubs unfeatured for quality within the past 24 hours. Myself it has his 17 of my 221 hubs in my Squidoo-transfered account (this one), none in my other account. Some of the hubs...

It isn't just mine, but I'm hearing others suddenly have a list with white circles on many hubs. Many were recently approved by QAP. Some have hub scores in the 90s or upper 80s. What is the reason for this and what are we expected to do about it? How do we get these hubs featured again?Merry...

I have a hub that was moved here from Squidoo in September that I haven't touched at all. But, now it's unfeatured due to lack of engagement. I thought I had four months before stuff like that happened.

First off, my hubs are transferred from Squidoo, and I am aware of various issues there. I'd already checked and edited hubs after the transition, so this is all post transfer. What I don't understand is why some of my hubs get unfeatured after I've edited them? One even got...

I have only ever had one featured hub before but when I checked my account today I was shocked to find I have 13 in featured hubs due to low engagement. This is proof that traffic has fallen greatly. It's not just my lowest scoring hubs either..it is right across the board. Is anyone else...
