Bank Bailouts, Business As Usual?

   What is going on here? The bailout for The Financial Institutions that begged the government for money because of bad business decisions was suppose to change business as it had been done. Somehow AIG is still giving out huge bonuses to it's Management. Banks are still paying their CFOs huge sums and very little of that money is coming to the consumer.
   
   One would have thought that when money was given, OK loaned to the Foxes guarding the hen houses there would have been a long list of strings attached to guard against bad practices. What is going on? I have heard the argument that you have to reward good managers to keep them.I can accept that but how are these good managers?
   
   I teach in Georgia and once again we teachers are getting screwed. Governor Perry is asking us to work 3 days for free,(I will if he will) so what the financial institutes are doing really troubles me. I supported what our President did by the bail out, but there should have been tight reigns.

      Which just goes to show that you know little about human nature.  The Pres and Congress did what they did to ensure that they would get money for the next campaign.  They don't care about your or yours, they just want you to line up like dumb animals and take what they decide to give you.

            Yeah. They'll say whatever they have to to make you not shout too much. Besides, all this money is Obama payback money for getting in the white house. None of us will ever see a dime.

               I agree 100%.  It's not just the Dems, it's mostly all politicians really.  The only exception I can think of right now is Ron Paul and his people have sent him back to the Hill for decades now.  Even so, he is at times inconsistent and chooses political expediency instead of sticking to his guns on certain issues.
               
               When you relinquish your right to choose and give that to someone else, like we have with our Progressive government, you relinquish your right to liberty and only exist at the whim of another.

      Work the three days for free. Gov. Perry puts in many more hours than he gets paid for. You get Summers off.

         For the first time in 15 years I took time off this summer. Most years I am taking classes and working on my class during the summer. I will guarantee that Governor Purdue does not work any more hours than I do off the clock nor does he donate as big a percentage of his paycheck back to his job as I do. There are no harder workers that are more under appreciated in Georgia than the teachers who work for him. I will trade you my time off for yours any year. Does Governor Purdue get verbally and physically assaulted at his job regularly? I do and my administrators tell me and the parents that is my job description. By the way I am a special educator.

   Unfortunately noone thought through the whole process.  It appears they just made up an amount that would sound like a lot and then didn't tie many strings to it.  As I understand the Fed is ditrubitng a lot of this money for the government and Congress may not even understand or know where it goes.  One more reason you should write your Congeressman to support HR 1207 to audit the Federal Reserve.

      I am so angry I could spit our state has a billion dollar short fall and the way our Governor solves this is to have anyone working in education work for free for 3 days and don't complain because you still have a job. In California they came up with a budget that severely cuts education. Where are the millions they collected from property taxes when real estate was going through the roof? Meanwhile the scam artists that work in the financial sector get millions for screwing the public!
