This thing, popularly called as the 'Sun', is a tremendous engineering achievement, if you think about 'it', the way it works, sustains life on earth, and brings to life the tones and colors that beautify, enlarge and entertain our existence on this planet.

The Sun is not something as 'primitive' as a light-bulb!

Except it does not appear to have been engineered. Unless you are using the term in some strange new way. wink

Of course some people do not 'see' engineering in 'things that have come into existence out of the process of intensely sophisticated artistic engineering'.

And some people make up stuff to support their irrational beliefs because they cannot accept reality. sad

I agree that its not a primitive light bulb.

Its just a tremendous source of energy that will someday implode upon itself and anihilate our solar system.

Of course, dont quote me on that. Its been awhile since i had a class in regards to that.

On reading this what came to my mind first is
oh god! S***!. That means there is god, only an intelligent designer can induce such profound thoughts.roll

I see a world spring forth in natural profusion, with a universe of staggering emergent grace, not a set of designed trinkets writ large. The best designers try to imitate nature, but none really succeed.

"These Awesome Facts About Space Will Leave You In Well...... Awe LOL
    Thaumaturgical

Space is the greatest mystery and, even though it literally surrounds us, it’s the one we ignore the most. When was the last time you sat around and pondered how you’re sitting on a planet in the middle of the biggest “ocean” in existence?"

Have you ever, by chance, heard the term reification?

Somewhere. It was sitting right next to 'self contradiction'.

Having built a sun or two in my time I can assure you it is a little easier than it looks.
