It's too frustrating for new hubber like me to experience a huge drop on traffic views and hub scores.

It may be a normal turn of events but it doesn't make it any less disconcerting. I've noticed it and it makes me feel uncomfortable. I really got tired of having to work so very hard especially when the rewards are slow in the coming. This is the worse part of all!

Don't worry much about the hubscore thing. I've watched the scores before the animal updates and they mean practically nothing to traffic.
About the heavy drop in traffic, everybody is complaining. But my concern is: what next? Are we supposed to just sit and hope for things to get better? Or what can we do to remedy the situation?
Contrary to the popular assumption that the recent Google updates are bent on delivering better search results, I've noticed that is not the case. The result page is sometimes very confusing. For instance, I searched for a popular keyword and the results were: Number 2 - An article about 50 words that was off topic with lots of links below it. No 3 - Was not mobile compliant.
My conclusion is that although our traffic might not return to normal, the updates are still in progress. If there isn't anything we can do, that's okay. If we need to do something, somebody kindly tell us.

I saw a huge drop as well just today. Amazing how traffic was climbing and right when I thought it was recuperating, it just plummeted. On a lighter note, traffic to my blogs are steadily up. I wouldn't worry much about scores, they shift quite a lot and some days go down but don't seem to reflect much on traffic.

Everyone's stats seemed to be low yesterday, but there might be a bug. Check Google Analytics and see if there's a discrepancy.

Traffic goes up and down, like the stock market, due to a lot of different factors -  weather, holidays, electricity/internet blackouts, etc.  The scores also go up and down, even more so when you are new.

It is all a normal part of writing on HubPages. If you expect it, it doesn't deliver as much of a shock when it happens.
