How often are hubs that have been flagged for copyright infringements re-checked.I have filed some DMCA complaints and seem to have had the offending content removed on other sites, but the little red c is still listed next to my hubs. Thoughts?

I have a couple that have copied content on a few other sites.  So the content can be removed from one and then the other.  I have still not finished contacting all the sites to ask them to take it down, because I haven't been doing that on a regular basis.  Not sure if this would apply to your situation, but one hub has so many sites having my content, its going to take a while.

I am still stuck back at the point of wondering who steals the content and makes it look like their own anyway? I am actually very grateful to HubPages for having the alert system they do to find this stuff.  Its pretty amazing the boldness of others.  Its frustrating when we are sharing our own experiences, and the efforts of our research and it can just be taken like that.

Some of them include my anecdotal things, like how I felt, what we saw and did, or other very personal things inserted into some other informational content.  That is just crazy that they would take it.  Laziness and greed I guess? To take other's work?  Anyway, a ramble about my thoughts on the problem, sorry I don't have a better answer to the actual question other than to make sure its not another offending site

Agreed. I am also very grateful that they flag this content because you might never find it otherwise without a LOT of digging around. Thanks for your insights.

They are rechecked every 30-60 days, so if you know that it has been removed, you can disregard the informational message for that URL.

Sorry, I was not clear. It is not my content that was rejected. I have published hubs that have been copied elsewhere on the web. I have filed DMCA complaints to try and get other websites to removed my original content. Some have removed that content, but Hubpages still lists the article as  having been copied by the site that has since removed the content. Does that make more sense?? smile

I had that problem too. When I contacted the website owner requesting that they remove my articles, the only thing they removed was the ability for anyone to contact them
My articles are still there and I can't use them because of the duplicate rule.

Sorry, I misunderstood what you said, When I replied to you, I thought you had some previously published content you wanted to make hubs with. roll
      I understand now

I have the same thing. An article I put a DMCA notice in for no longer comes up,  but the little c is still there. Don't know why it hasn't disappeared yet.
