Hi All,
How important is it to ensure that Hubs are in assigned groups rather than left as Orphans?
Thanks
Groups are what creates those two boxes at the end of each Hub, so they can be useful. You'll also find them useful to sort your Hubs.
It makes two of your own hubs appear before the five related hubs (which may or may not include some of your own hubs). Using groups helps your visitors read more of your own hubs.
i find that if you group your hubs, just below the votes of likes or dislikes, your related hubs will appear as according to your published hub.
Ahhh I wondered how other Hubbers got those - I've arranged my Hubs and can see the Prev/Next on mine - cool.
It is a nice feature on hubs, and I do think it is helpful.
I forgot all about Groups and now just went into my listing to create more and re-organized my hubs. I wonder if everyone knows about them and what they do.
Thanks for all the tips here. Maybe there should be a way for hubbers to share groups or group names in order fo hubs to be grouped and organized better.
My wish is that our profile page can be organized a little differently; for example, it would be nice if we could show a listing of our groups and then readers could see all the hubs listed under each group. Just a thought.
Thanks Calc for the picture, love the name and your subject matter!
I've used the groups feature for quite some time, now, though I still sometimes forget to assign a hub, and end up having to place several at once. It's no big deal.
But what I find useful, is that by creating your own groups, you can create categories that don't exist when creating the hub at the start, such as "humor."
I have a series grouped under "corporate greed," but it is under 'education and learning,' or else 'politics and social issues' (or the similarly-named HP category), which exact name escapes me at the moment.
good question and good response...I've bee wondering the same thing...this helps...thanks!
Hi John. I think groups are very important, not only for me, but my readers also. If someone searches for a particular topic and finds one of my hubs on it, then that reader will see there are more hubs I wrote on the same topic that they will be interested in. It benefits readers and me.

Sometimes when I have ideas for hubs, I "start a hub" and sometimes finish it later or just let it sit there for a while. Maybe I should just write down my hub ideas instead. Does it hurt my hub scores or overall hubber score to have those unfinished hubs (often with just titles) sitting...
