Over a 100 Hubs Target to Increase Traffic?

   Hi All,
   
   I heard a rumor here that having over 100 hubs here increased Google traffic. With so much content Google gives you a  thumbs-up and starts pushing more traffic towards the Hub-pages Sub-Domain...
   
   Is this plausible?

      This could be partially true. I don't think it's about the numbers, but rather having many hubs on one subject.
      I've seen that if you have many articles in one site, search engines can isolate keywords that occur frequently in your pages and give you priority on the same.
      Look into your Google webmaster tools account and you'll find which keywords have a high priority.

         I agree. It has more to do with keywords. A person can bring in decent traffic within a few months, with maybe about 20 or 30 articles, if the keywords are right.

      I think you are right.By simple observation I have noticed HP puts a lot of value in quantity ,both in the amount of activity,the number of hubs and the length of the hubs ,and in numbers over all .

   Yes it makes sense to create a dominating Niche writing cave as such.....
   
   I just had a look at the Webmaster Tools for my Hubpage - so much interesting info there...
   
   One thing that made me curious though - When I looked at Search Traffic>Search Queries and then selected the Table with Change ALOT of the keywords had an Infinity symbol next to the results....
   
   
   
   What does this infinity symbol mean?
   
   Also I assume a positive Change is a good thing??

      The infinity symbol, mathematically, means something is divided by a zero. So, if that search term wasn't bringing you any clicks some period ago, but it's bringing you 8 clicks now, the change is divided by zero. Anything divided by zero is infinity.
      
      There should be a number instead of infinity if you choose another period, or after webmaster tools automatically updates to include stats for recent times. Good progress!

   I don't think 100 is a magic number for Hubs in Google's eyes, although more published materials centered on a topic helps with Google.  More importantly, establish Google authorship for your Hubs and other online writing.  Google will rank known and active writers higher than ones they do not know, I believe.

            I just Googled, "Is An English Degree Worth Getting?" and saw my picture next to my article about that topic.  It's from a link posted in Google+ that showed up in the Google search results.

                  Do you reckon it has something to do with being logged into Google+ when conducting the search?
                  
                  As in if you're logged into your account any searches you do bring up your Google+ Posts? Let's test it....
                  
                  If I search my post "what are GIR greens in regulation" (with quotes) I am second in Google, but I am LOGGED into Google+
                  
                  When I log out of Google+ and search for "what are GIR greens in regulation" I am certainly not on the front page!

                     Yeah. When I search logged in, the posts I have +1ed or my friends have +1ed come front, but author picture does not show up.
                     
                     Actually, this is why +1 was brought (so that people get recommended results first).
