Hi All,
Regarding the "More By" link on hubs on the right sidebar when inside hubs, can we have it so that it displays a hub from the same group as the original hub?
I was quite alarmed to view my herpes hub and see a "More" link to my Barbie reviews. I just don't think that kind of juxtaposition works, topic wise and could detract from our reputation as serious writers.
It would be far better to have the "More By" section from the same topic choice as the originating hub.....probably better for SEO and engagement of the reader too.
Please let me know if this will change.....and thanking you in advance!
I had a similar problem. In my "10 ways to control food cravings and prevent hunger pains" hub my recipe for a homemade hot chocolate mix came up. Although I believe in a balanced diet, I don't think that it was very helpful for people who went to my hub for help, only to be presented with more temptation! I did try and find a way to be able to change this, but I couldn't see anyway to do this. Thankfully it has now changed, but I would like to be able to ensure that it doesn't come back again.
Just thinking out loud, but you already have two links to the same group, in a "round robin". Would another one be beneficial? Does Google like that sort of thing? Could it be beneficial to tempt the reader (that likes your work and is maybe in the mood to surf) to investigate a different topic from you?
I looked at some of mine, and most were from the same general topic or group, but not all. In particular, a hub on aquariums (for which I have no really related hub) showed one written on a rather esoteric subject and for a small, specific target audience. It didn't work at all!
I haven't been around for a while and noticed this new feature. How do they choose the 'More By' article? I hate the one that is lurking on a lot of my pages and would love to nominate one instead. Is this possible?

After changing the title of the hub, the URL remains the same. Does it affect the existing traffic or the position on Google ? How often the title could be changed ? Is it advisable or not ?

I have noticed that at least one hubber often writes about the same topic that I write about. That's not odd at all, what seems to be odd is that several of their hubs are on techniques, subjects, projects and so on, on which I have recently written, even down to almost exact titles. I am not...

Having hubhopped for a wee while, I came across the usual dross. Low quality, spun content, copied content. Of the ones I hopped through, 7 (no avatar, profile info etc) had just joined and thrown up hasty hubs that were basic SEO stuff - written just for a couple of backlinks. Then there was this...

An ongoing topic I've seen over the years I've been on Hubpages is "How do I make my low traffic hubs better."I saw it again today in a Hub Pro thread (if you haven't already, should definitely opt in - it was a fantastic experience.)My best advice to anyone who is writing online is:If it...

I thought this article was very interesting. It's by a blogger who tested long posts vs short ones, and found the longer posts did much better:http://www.quicksprout.com/2012/12/20/t … ersions/#.(note: there's a popup that comes up - I just closed it and it went away).
