   There's no point in this because you don't understand how the technology works. Ludington pumped power storage already exists. It was awesome for the community when it went in, too. It employed so many people during its construction! It doesn't store little amounts of power. I've used energy stored with it for years.
   
   It's so odd that you care more about fish getting sucked into turbines, a few birds hitting into windmills, and your view being ruined than human beings dying from climate changes. I just don't understand such a viewpoint. You don't even actually care about wildlife because you wouldn't be so pro fossil fuels if you did. Do you know how many dead animals fossil fuels produce?

      I understand the technology far better than you do - I was an electrician for nearly 20 years and installed this stuff.  And no, you did NOT use stored power for years, except that it was used and re-stored just like a battery.  I haven't a clue as to the size of the reservoir, but very highly doubt it would last more than a few days, if that.  It takes a LOT of water to produce power for even a small town.
      
      I didn't say I don't care - I merely pointed out that a great deal of the population doesn't.  It isn't me that you're fighting (except that I do understand how these things work and you obviously don't) - it's the rest of the country.  You want a completely new energy grid, at triple the cost of the existing one, when we can't even afford to maintain the infrastructure that we already have (roads and bridges everywhere are literally falling apart).
      
      Who paid for the wonderful construction that hired so many people?  Again, it was mostly the people that will never see any use from it that covered much of the cost, but what the heck - it's free money from the feds!
      
      (Did you ever consider that the cost of generation equipment doubled when you have to produce enough to not only satisfy current needs but also the needs of tomorrow as well?  Twice the generation capacity, sitting idle much of the time, just to run those pumps.  And that doesn't include the cost of the reservoir, spillway to the generator or valves to control it.  Nor the upkeep over the years for all that.  These kinds of things aren't cheap, no matter how many times the green crowd says they're free - did you read my earlier post about my local utility and the windmill companies?)

   Climate change is difficult to deal with because it affects the life of the people and their environment. Some of the impacts of climate change are stronger hurricane and severe heat waves which could be life threatening.
