Just caught an article on Slideshares (hosting company is Linked In) that is in good part, exactly copied from one of my own. They even used the exact same title! Have sent a DMCA ...this is the second time Slideshares has done this to me, and I know they are known for this...so check the site to see if they have copied any of yours.
Slideshares is hosted by Linkedin but I was unable using WhoIsHostingThis to find a way to file the complaint, so I filed one directly with Google. Hopefully this will remove the plagiarized work. If you see that you have the same problem, save yourself some time and just use the Google complaint form at

Here is the DMCA/copyright page for LinkedIn.

Thanks... this was on their site but it seemed unclear that this was anything more than a statement page, not that it gave contact info.
Since I've already spent two hours on this, I'll see if Google cleans this site away. If not, I'll go back and give it a go again.
People who do these things are nothing more than time wasters, and I have yet to see one whose copied work does much.
Google won't take down the content, but Slideshare will. Just fill out this form:

Actually, I have had Google remove copied sites before from time to time, but will file again with Linkedin because I have contacted them in the past and they have taken care of it quickly. I just wish they made finding their info more user friendly! Thanks.
I have had several hubs copied, not on slideshare, and wrote to the DMCA a few weeks ago, to date no response and the copied material is still there. Very frustrating.
Yes, they have stolen from me before, also, but were very quick to remove the article. They keep changing the means of dealing with them and the info is very hard to find. I just sent a complaint using the form WF gave me, so between that and Google, I should be OK.
I cannot tell you how aggravating this is to me. Like many here, I work very hard to craft my articles, and to have some jerk blatantly steal and post it just sickens me. Don't these sites have some way of catching copy cats before they post?
This one was online quite awhile, and I don't know why the team missed it. This is the second time I've caught one they missed. In the past, they've found them fairly quickly, but it does not seem to be happening so much now.
I really wish HP would at least give us more help on knowing about this as they have in the past because this saves a great deal of time.
Try the new address here and see if it helps.
When you say you "wrote to the DMCA" what do you mean? Are you sure you sent your DMCA notice to the correct place?
If a site is an obvious spam site, it's never worth sending a DMCA to them - you need to send the DMCA direct to their hosting company.

Usually I find a couple pieces of stolen article copy on different sites. Today, it's more than enough to make me comment here. HP notifies us, adds the complaint link, and the complaint file cut-paste copy but little else to build a brick wall against content thieves. For every click...

There is so much of this going on that it may not be worthwhile to mention. Since I know that this site is not cooperative, I sent my DMCA complaint to Google. My hub is copied word for word with all the lovely photographs and even a link to another similar hub. It probably is my best hub with lots...

There are about 8 or so copied hubs symbols on my account this morning. Upon following one of the links I found my hub but it was spun. You can tell it's my hub but they used a software to change some of the words. How do file the DCMA for that? Can someone from staff help me please? Also, how the...

Hi everyone, I had this one suggestion to prevent stolen hubs, how about making hubs cannot be copied by restricting selection using javascript or any script? This is kind a simple script. Or give the authors the ability to add this script to their hubs?Or when someone is copying a hub, a script...

Wondering where some of my traffic has buggered off to so I have searched some of my main keywords only to find that direct copies of my hubs now outrank the original hubs by being published on of all places LinkedIn...It seems that a copy on LinkedIn will outrank our original articles very...
