Why do questions get deleted?

I asked a question, on a topic which I thought should be a matter of public debate.
It was deleted almost immediately. I emailed HubPages to ask but received no explanation.
Below is the question verbatim - can anyone tell me why it's not acceptable?

Should certain crimes not be covered by Diplomatic Immunity?

Saudi Arabian First Secretary in Delhi, India, Majed Hassan Ashoor, accused of months-long sexual assaults and gang rapes of a Nepali mother and daughter who worked for him has left India.
In India, rape defendants are arrested immediately on the basis of a police complaint, but Ashoor's diplomatic immunity protected him from the country's criminal jurisdiction and it seems he will escape justice.
The women's ordeal came to light when another woman sold to the diplomat escaped and alerted an NGO. It follows a trend of Saudi diplomats found keeping sex slaves in countries they are stationed.

Perhaps because questions are meant to lead to hubs and a hub on that topic would almost certainly not comply with the Adsense-based permitted content rules.

I think the question itself is a good one that would elicit good discussion. It was probably the "buzz words" describing the specific crimes you wanted people to discuss that tripped the red flag bot. As psycheskinner eluded to, there are certain words and contents that violate Adsense rules so we cannot use them here at HP. I bet if you take out that description, the question will post fine.

I could be off base here (I don't follow the questions much), but I don't think HP wants questions that become a debate, which is what you were trying to do.  If you want a debate, post it in the forums.

      That is correct @wilderness.
Questions are intended as inquiries into factual information that can be answered in a brief response. Questions are intended as a place to get information from which you will create a Hub.

Debate and discussions of opinion belong in the forums.
