I created a hub on foot worship. here is the link foot worship licking

for some reason no My adsense ads are not being served, however adsense ads are shown on the right column but not with my pub-id

What could be the cause of this, I did not think the hub was unsuitable for any age of readers, this is not about sex, just baffled why there is non of my ads being served.

Please let me know what the problem may be. thanks.

Do you think the word licking, I did this for SEO purposes. also I have used the word fetish within my hub do you think this may be a factor? Think I will just delete the hub and move to my own blog. I will give it a few hours see if the ads appear. thanks for your help

And that picture gives it an almost overly fetish thing, I cant see any google ads, only a lose belly fat ad...maybe tinker with the title a bit...although maybe getting the thesaurus out, maybe better as there may be other words for licking...

that lose belly fat ad is a adsense ad, however without my pub-id.
This looks like its hubpages who have pulled this hub and not google adsense.

How do i contact hubpages, I want to know the logic behind this.

That happened to me yesterday too, so I sent Maddie a message and hopefully they can fix it.

I don't think it is something you or I did.  I think probably other people will notice this too.

I saw it that is a good one. If Misha were around me could answer it, but I don't know.

Remember 40% of the time, the ads will have HubPages publisher ID.

that's not true, it does not work like that on hubpages, hubbers take a percent of every ad click.

It works the way relache has told.

Right click on any of your hubs that shows ads and go down to view source. scroll down till you find the google code, it should show somthing like this.

          google_ad_host = "pub-6958755572607374";
          google_ad_client = "ca-pub-1355008228472502";

The top one is hubpages adsense code the bottom one is my code.

We take a cut from hubpages each time someone clicks an ads. We get a percent from all clicks. This does not work on percent of impressions.

          1. waynet profile image69
waynetposted 14 years agoin reply to this

But hubpages do rotate their own google ad code against ours so that it is displayed 60/40....and putting your google code on display in a public forum is a bad idea....trust me I know!

            1. getpaidtopost profile image41
getpaidtopostposted 14 years agoin reply to this

After looking at the t&C it does look like some sort of rotation ads is in place, however it seems to only affect people who did not register their google account as a third party of hubpages. I remember I was given the option to associate my adsense account with hubpages account when I first joined hubpages. Once this has been done you get 100% impressions of ads but take a 60/40 cut.

Dont worry about your pub-id code, this is available to anyone who wants to view.

No, but it means a little extra searching to find it...I think any codes on content sites like these should be encrypted, because if I had a website of my own it is easy to encrypt any codes and url destinations.

The pub-id is used by google for tracking purposes, you can not login with this id. The only way I can see anyone using your pub-id is to create ad links with your code then keep clicking the ads so to get your account banned by google. however this is not a problem anymore, google have filters in place to stop this kind of threat.

Adsense might not want to display ads on hubs with fetishism and licking as main keywords.

  5. Mrvoodoo profile image59
    Mrvoodooposted 14 years ago

I wrote a jokey little hub about foot fetish after receiving some traffic at another hub via a keyword related to it, it got no ads, I re-wrote it making it as tame as I could, it still gets no ads.  I've just finished a hub about people looking to increase their sperm count, but I wrote it using the keyword 'increase cum' which I found via Google keywords tool and thought it sounded kind of funny, no ads, the word 'cum' must be another banned naughty word.

You can try and re-write your hub, but like I said I took mine down to the bare bones and still no ads, best just to avoid anything even remotely sexual, it's caused me a lot of additional work.

I don't think that is it.  using the word sex.  I just wrote several that had to do with sex and those one are fine but one got no ads.

      1. Mrvoodoo profile image59
Mrvoodooposted 14 years agoin reply to this

Yep, probably not the word 'sex' itself, but I think Google keeps a big list of words that are more commonly associated with porn sites, not 'how to enjoy great sex' style articles.  i.e. 'cum', 'fetish', 'facial jizz explosion', etc. smile

sandra rinckposted 14 years agoin reply to this

lol, that's funny.  I didn't use any of those types of words in it, so I don't think it is that either.  I have used, "how to enjoy great sex" in other ones and those are fine.  So it can't be that either.

Like you said, you changed the wording in your and still no ads.  When did this happen btw?

Well I was pretty sure it was Google blocking them, but I guess HP might have put something in place to remove Adsense from hubs that their system determines as suspect, and a potential threat to their Adsense account.

This one I published about 20 mins ago:

            http://hubpages.com/hub/how_to_Increase … hot_amount

No ads, and another on a foot fetish kind of topic a few weeks back, still no ads. sad  (I did re-write it but due to the nature of it, it's impossible to remove every reference to foot fetish stuff, otherwise it wouldn't be a hub about foot fetishists.)

Back to the drawing board. smile

I agree it is hubpages and not google. I believe this because hubpages still show their ads on my hub sidebar and footer.

This is not on, I am not writing so that hubpages can take all the credit with their ads.

Can anyone tell me how to contact hubpages? I want an answer on this issue.

I didn't say it was HubPages, I said perhaps, I still believe that it's Google.  Are you sure the ads that are showing are Google, and not 'sponsored ads/links'?

Yes they are google ads with hubpages pub-id.

I know its hubpages, due to the ads being displayed.

Just need a way to contact them? Please reply with a contact for hubpages, someone, anyone. smile

Odd, because I can't see any Google ads on your hub when I visit it.

Can't help you with contacting HP sorry, have never tried.

                    *EDIT - try here: http://hubpages.com/email/help/

Well, I guess I shouldn't sweat it.  I would think that hubpages would flag you first and let you know before they would do something like that.

So I will just wait for Maddie or someone to get back to me about it so we can figure this out.

I even went to check with rules of adsense and hp so I don't get it.

I have found a few issues on hubpages over the last few months and still can not contact the hubpages team to report them.

We are not removing Google ads from your hub, nor are we only displaying them in our share.  Google has removed ads from that hub, presumably because of the foot fetish subject matter, which they no doubt have listed on their banned keyword list.

The only way to get AdSense to put ads back on your hub is to rewrite the content, removing possible blacklisted words, and even that is not for sure, as Mrvoodoo has pointed out.

The ads that occasionally show up on that hub, if you refresh enough times, are from a different ad network, which we are testing in our share of impressions.  If that bothers you, I'd just remove ads entirely from the hub by setting the ad level to none.

Thanks maddie, The ads shown are that from adsense, I have noticed the new trial ads also, I have checked with my site diagnostics within Google adsense and this show no problems with this page or ads being blocked from this page. I will contact Google adsense and ask them, I think if it was Google who blocked the ads, they would block all ads for that url and not just block my ads and leave hubpages ads in the sidebar and footer its a mystery to me, i will contact Google and wait for a reply.

Thanks for your help maddie smile

It's a brave man who contacts Google to tell them that you're trying to place their 'family friendly ad system' (as they call it) onto foot fetish pages.

Have you considered turning Adsense off on that one particular hub and using it to push Amazon products, Amazon aren't as squeamish as Adsense and eBay, I'm trying this on the few hubs I mentioned earlier of mine that received no ads, worth a try.

getpaidtopostposted 14 years agoin reply to this

The hub is about search popularity for the foot fetish keywords, I think your idea for amazon is great however I do not know my username email address or password I used when i signed up with them. I signed up with them a few years ago and in that time I have used many different email addresses. I think ill just have to sign up again. Thanks Mrvoodoo.
