Oscar Snubs of 2015

   Greetings folks.  For those of you that are familiar with these forums that I do every year, I usually open up forums asking other users to name Oscar snubs prior to the actual event.  Sadly, I've been so preoccupied with things that I didn't get a chance to open this forum early like usual, but I guess better late than never.  Anyways, I'm here to ask you all to say who you think was snubbed this year at the 2015 Academy awards.
   
   Just say the name of the movie/writer/actor/etc and tell me which category you think they should've been nominated for, and/or tell me who you think should've won in each perspective category.
   
   If you mention a snub on this forum, then I will not only use it in my Oscar wrap up hub coming up soon, but I'll also be sure to give you a shout out as well; along with a link to your profile, which is basically free publicity for you. 
   
   Please be serious when you say which films/actors/whatever because if you say something stupid like "Transformers:  Age of Extinction" should have been nominated for "Best Picture", then I'm not going to take that seriously.  Anyways, thank you all for your help in advance. Also, the deadline for suggestions is march 10, 2015.  Any suggestions after that won't be taken.

   Probable/ definite snubs in the nomination process--What was the Academy THINKING?:
   The Grand Budapest Hotel--Best Actor (Ralph Fiennes)
   The Lego Movie--Best Animated Feature, Original Screenplay
   The Tale of the Princess Kaguya--Best Picture, Production Design, Original Score (Joe Hisaishi)
   Guardians of the Galaxy--Best Picture, Adapted Screenplay
   Birdman--Best Film Editing, Supporting Actress (Naomi Watts)
   Possible snubs in the nomination process--Most of these omissions are understandable, but still...:
   Boyhood--Best Original Song ("Summer Noon")
   The Tale of the Princess Kaguya--Best Director (Isao Takahata), Film Editing
   Guardians of the Galaxy--Best Director (James Gunn), Production Design, Costume Design
   Big Hero 6--Best Picture, Production Design
   How to Train Your Dragon 2--Best Picture, Adapted Screenplay, Production Design, Original Score (John Powell)
   Gone Girl--Best Supporting Actress (Carrie Coon), Adapted Screenplay, Film Editing
   Whiplash--Best Cinematography
   Nightcrawler--Best Actor (Jake Gyllenhaal), Cinematography
   Birdman--Best Supporting Actor (Zach Galifianakis)
   Captain America: The Winter Soldier--Best Supporting Actor (Robert Redford)
   Have not yet seen Selma or Life Itself, but I hear they both got royally snubbed too.
   Every year, animation gets snubbed mercilessly, especially in the Screenplay categories, Production Design, Film Editing and the Sound categories--where it is ignored outright--and the music categories, where it tends to get a token nod or two (see: "Everything Is Awesome"). Also, the Best Picture race. This is criminal, and needs to change--maybe next year?
   As to the snubs Oscar night...:
   The Tale of the Princess Kaguya--Best Animated Feature: Loved Big Hero 6, but Kaguya was a full level higher.
   Birdman--Best Supporting Actress (Emma Stone): Patricia Arquette did a fine job, but Miss Stone blew the lid off.
   The Grand Budapest Hotel--Best Original Screenplay: Birdman was freakin' brilliant, but I can't believe Wes Anderson has to wait at least another year to win an Oscar.

   I scratch my head over a couple things concerning the Oscars. Why hasn't Leonardo DiCaprio or Brad Pitt ever won? Ever?? They both have some excellent movies on their resumes!
   Ok -  having said that - the following, in my opinion, were snubbed:
   Best Picture: Clint Eastwood's American Sniper
   Best Male Actor: Steve Carrell, Foxcatcher
   Adapted Screenplay: American Sniper
   Best Male Supporting Actor: Robert Duvall. The Judge or Mark Ruffalo, Foxcatcher
