So it looks like the forum advertising ship has sailed, stumbledupon doesn't help much, I write, get involved in HP and share on social media.
Does anyone have any other suggestions on how to drive traffic to my hubs?
Adam: You need to write more hubs. The more you write, the more you become known and the more people read and hopefully share your work. You are very new here and have had good success, but the internet is fickle. There is competition out there, and you have to keep up with it and write better than they do. There are people here with more than 1000 hubs, so 25 pales in comparison. I would say at least 75 should be your goal.
Social Media is very big right now, I don’t know if you’ve heard (joke) – make sure you use your Facebook pages to the best that you can
This'll sound strange and maybe even a little pathetic....
Being relatively new to writing, I don't really want to expose it to my Facebook friends this early.
Is that normal ?
A suggestion is join groups and like businesses in your niche topic at FB & Twitter. Explore, explore, and explore. Once I wrote drag racing articles a few to a little less than more. I liked many race teams and the manufacturers FB pages. I did the same at Twitter. I got shares along the way from them while that provides for reputation too.
I am sure that helped views plus offered some amount of authority lending to expertise. That serves with noticing new articles by you now becoming a familiar author posting something new. Key is remembering etiquette like how often to share the same article. I did that over months. There are different ways for sharing too. One hits the public feed so may be a hit or miss. The other is more specific that I believe shows on follower and followed more than once or is brought to home feed at the top when entering.
Plus, with a little research learning you can do a campaign somewhat inexpensively. Here is an article stating a $1 a day will reach thousands. The strategy relies on the image and image text to draw the reader seen at this article That strategy with an image works at Pinterest too. Worth reading and putting on the back burner just for learning itself. A gamble possibly while I have not tried it myself.
Most of us do not earn enough here to make paying for services worthwhile. I never do it, and I think it could harm a new writer. If, as I said before, he simply writes well and produces meaningful, searchable articles, the views and money will come. However, this can take years, and when it does, it may not be that much.
I think it's perfectly normal. I never used FB at first, and no only very specifically. Spamming your friends is not the way to get views...and, by the way, spamming the forums isn't, either. Perhaps this is why you lost traffic from them?
Afraid you're going to have to get views the same way as the rest of us, which is to produce quality, searchable content and plenty of it.

I'm bored. Ok correction, I'm procrastinating. Is there any website where you can share a link for your article in order to get traffic?

I recently had a hub un-featured for engagement, as the half-circle indicates. I think this is an unfair practice and should be eliminated entirely. Here's why I feel this way:Our hub traffic is often affected by the time of year, holidays, seasons, and current events to name a few. If left alone,...
