New vs Old Hubs on Niche Sites - Performance Evaluation

   Old hubs moved to some niche sites are seeing good improvements in rankings, any of you that have old hubs moved to a certain niche site and also a few hubs that are recently written that have moved onto the same niche site?
   
   If yes, have you seen good rankings on the new hubs too? Lots of factors need to be considered, but just a ball park figure (answer) is what I'm looking for.

      I have now had 38 of my hubs moved to one niche, and one moved to a different one.  Every one of them is doing better, and some are doing extremely well.  What I find interesting is that out of 94 total hubs, those 56 that still remain on the mother site account only for 150 to 200 views per day.  That count does not seem to change much, even after hubs are moved up to the niches.
      
      I will add here that I have spent a great deal of time upgrading and sometimes totally revamping hubs that remain in an effort to get them moved...so far, this has been working for me.
      
      At the end of July last year I had just under 25,000 views.  Right now, already, I have more than doubled that number.  I'm sure those numbers will drop after the summer season, but for now, I am very happy to see them...finally!

            Yesterday I had the highest number of single day views ever!  I know this can't continue, but it certainly feels good.  Compared to some people here, my views are not great, I just passed 560,000 yesterday after more than 4 years here.
            
            However, I write for a limited market and my work is seasonal, so I guess I'm doing OK!

               Wow I just surpassed 0.52 Million. We passed the half million mark within days of each other. So you're definitely doing well , better than me for sure.

                  Yes, but you're doing it with just a hand full of articles.  I've consistently had between 90 and 147 during my years here.

      Hi Brandon:
      
      Over the last 3 months I have written 3 hubs.  The one that stayed on HP, written in June,  is languishing - 1-2 views a day.  The older two, written in early and late May, were transferred to the niche site. One of them is doing about how my better hubs on HP would start out, with 10-15 views a day (mostly coming from my other articles not Google).  The other picked up steam within 45 days and is getting 110-150 views a day.

   Many of my old hubs that were moved to niche sites had increased traffic. But I had two new ones that were moved shortly after I published them. Those two are not doing any better than any other new hub has in the past. I guess new hubs need to develop a ranking with search engines no matter where they are. But that makes sense.

   I only have two new hubs on a niche site and they are not in 'hot topic' areas so they will take a year or so to get decent traffic, if they ever do.
   
   Hubs with high potential written a year or two ago, (after HP fell into a pit of SEO hell) have suddenly got the traffic they deserved after moving to a niche.
   
   Well established pages with good traffic previously (that were in a relentless death spiral on HP for a couple of years) have gone back to where they once were on the niche sites.
   
   I would like to try some 'hot topic' pages (I noticed a potential pokemon topic, for example) but the hurdle represented by the editors puts me off.

   Interesting question. I have had 3 of my last 4 hubs moved to niche sites but have not seen a difference in their performance; they appear to be taking time to get ranked, just like the older hubs.

   Just for a bit of context - hubs I've removed from the site and published elsewhere are now getting at least ten times the traffic they got on HubPages.
   
   The ones I've moved are ones which cluster around a niche topic and now sit on a new website as pages.
   
   In other words if content is moved from the main HubPages site and moved to a very dedicated niche site with good set-up, design and editing then it will do very well.

   Deleted all my old hubs. I wonder if new hubs can be moved to niched sites also. I dont see much feed on my HP and it's not like the good ol' days either. The hubpages seems to be the epicenter of all the niche sites, idk exactly where all the other posts that are not on niche sites appears.
