I had one hub go through HubPro, “Outstanding Crafts Using Glass Jars,” which was edited, but didn’t get moved to a niche. So I thought that since it had already been edited, it would be simple for the team to just move the article without further editing. I submitted it as my "one in 60 days offering."
Boy was I wrong. The first editor made some nice changes: full width pictures of the crafts and the title in a callout box. As a matter of fact I was so impressed with it that I have been spending many hours editing my craft hubs using it as a guide. Now for the real zinger…I just received notice that the glass jars craft hub has been re-edited and is now in the Feltmagnet niche. The hub has been completely re-edited with: the pictures now made smaller again (some are small and some are large), lines above and below the titles (a very disturbing and confusing addition) and a long table on contents added to the beginning of the article. I doubt very much that someone on their iPhone is going to appreciate that.
Maybe it’s time the editors all get on the same page. What do they really want? Full width pictures or small ones? I’m now so confused that I’m going to quit spending time editing…. I have no clue what they want. I think this new edit is atrocious. Why didn’t they at least warn me ahead of time that their editors were going to edit each other? And why aren't we shown the changes before editing is finished so we can see what our hub will look like? The edit on this article is definitely not an improvement.
I have not had that experience. The only hub I have that got the full HubPro treatment, the editor was very much in touch with me by email the whole time. When I made suggestions, she definitely took them to heart. That edit was a team effort. I'm sorry to hear that's not what happened to you.
I responded to your email. In some cases, we are HubPro editing Hubs more than once.
Thank you, Robin. Your email was very much appreciated.
Judging from what they did to my hubs, they want full width pictures, preferably one at the top of the hub. They don't seem to care if there are 3 pictures anymore.
They love callout capsules. I never even knew what they were, and I've been here for 5 years. So I'm fixing pictures and adding callout capsules galore. Best Wishes.

Editing doesn't seem to happen any more. Maybe it's been discontinued as a cost cutting exercise?

I have 37 articles on PetHpful that are undergoing editing....AGAIN. This happens a lot. I'm expected to go into each article, read it, fix the mistakes the editors put into my articles, and repost the articles. I have other writing projects (book, book trailer) pending for my agent, and I don't...

Wow. I think I am sorely disappointed. I went back and looked at my article that I originally published four or five years ago here. The changes that were made affected the entire tone of my original piece. vocabularly edits, cutting down sentences, they totally tore apart my...

Generally I publish a new hub when it's fairly raw, to get it online, rather than waiting until it's all polished up and shiny, which could take weeks. Then I can be polishing while it's in the queue and editors are getting around to dealing with it and perhaps moving it to a niche site. I could...

How long does it usually take when your article is chosen to be edited by Hubpro? I have an article which was edited before but only took 48 hours while this new one is taking so long. Its been more than a week since I received an email about it and I am still seeing my notification that they are...

I really have not been too concerned about scores till recently since that darn HubPro was created. I think HubPro is totally done the wrong way. Editing should NOT be done without our consent and should NOT be done IN our hubs. On all the other sites I have written for, editing suggestion were...
