I am sitting in front of my computer hoping for inspiration.  This weekend is going to be though on topics.

What would people want to read about more:

"Cliff notes" for some of the clasics?
    Lord of the Rings/Tolkien information?
    MLA or APA format?
    ESL grammar help...
    Facebook games.

(I need to do some keyword searches).  sad

    Sorry, just posting my frustrations.

Here's one technique that works for getting ideas.

Go to Google Insights for Search

    http://www.google.com/insights/search/#

Type in something, anything, whatever comes into your head.

Then have a look at what it returns. In particular look at the "rising searches" and keep clicking on them till you find something you like.

For example if you type in "facebook games" people from Croatia are the top searchers. If you click the rising search for "games on facebook", people in the UK are the top searchers. Why is this important? Because the top paying adverts are for visitors from the USA and Western Europe - it's no good getting visitors from Croatia. (you might decide to discard this term anyway as all Facebook keywords have a very low cost per click according to the Adwords tool)

    https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

But I love the whole rising searches thing - it's like surfing, except you are keyword surfing and if you keep clicking away on the rising searches, eventually you come upon something that is worth writing about.

Nice of you to share that Lovely Silver Rose.
It's quite useful and gives more topics when you do a search. Will have a good look tomorrow morning. It's quarter to sleep, where I am. smile

What I do is write down all my ideas as I have them.

I have a brainstorm session. I save it as a notepad text document. I may end up working on one of them but the others end up in a folder. Anytime I have an idea or find information pertaining to it, I add it.

If I'm bored, I add more info. I write some more. I do follow some ideas from start through to finish in a few hours, or days, but some I just let simmer and add ingredients as I find them.

Then when I've got nothing to do, or I'm 'stuck' for an idea, I go into that folder and have a look around. Sometimes some of those are about 90% done, they just need to be whipped into shape. And then I finish them off.

So save those ideas, even if they're not going to be complete within the next day or two.

Well said. I store mine in Onenote in bits and pieces, and now with the 30-30, i go back to develop my bits and pieces.
      OneNote is great for that.

Why, yes, Badco.  Finally got 2 clicks today.  My traffic is suckey, too.

I was gone backpacking all weekend, which helped clear the mind.  But, now I am left with feeling "behind".  I'm alterating between writing about what I like and writing for profit.  I'm finding I can do some wise tweaking of topics I like to make them profitable as well.  I'm trying to let it come naturally...

This is a hub a published a long time ago that has 25 suggestions that could help you think of topics to write about.  Even if they don't excite you, maybe they'll make you think of something that would.  Just an idea.

    (This hub was later renamed)

Believe it or not (sounds werid) but I look at the AdSense ads on my hubs to see what ads are running.  I know they have to be ones that might work...

My lingerie hubs have one ad that is to say the least a bit odd.  So I checked out the keywords and hey presto - a hub that'll be publishd later today (wach this space).

I get some good ideas from TV, plus also magazines and as I say, AdSense.

Good idea on the adsense ads.  It will help you create groups, too.

I too am slowing down just because I have some family issues this end - couple of sick close family and as I treat them homoeopathically it's taking some time... will ramp up again later this week but if I'm  a little quiet forgive me.

I just noticed this hubber hit 100,000 pageviews today, so I went to see what they write about.  Look at what I found! I found a really helpful hub on 101 prompts for writing! I thought some of them may help some of you (and me) come up with some writing ideas!  Check it out.
