I just shared one of my hubs that has been published on a Niche site and the image that shows up has nothing to do with my hub! omg, I just clicked the link and it takes visitors to a generic homepage rather than my article. Is it supposed to do that? How can I promote my hub if I don't have a reliable link to it?
Where are you trying to post the article? Remember to wait until your articles are Featured (and no longer pending) before trying to post.
My hub is on a Niche site so of course it was already published. I posted the link on Facebook. Not only does the image that shows up not belong to my article but when i click the link that I just posted it takes me to a generic homepage where my article does NOT show up. So, how do I promote my hub/article if I don't have a reliable link to it?
Which site were you posting from?
This might be a caching issue on Facebook's end. Have you already given Facebook's Link Debugger Tool a try?
Sometimes Facebook stores incorrect information on pages, in which case putting the link in the Debugger Tool linked above should fix the problem.
I just tried the debugger tool with my original link and the niche link. Both came out the same with the correct image and article.
How do I go from the debugger tool to posting a link?

What's the point in keeping us from linking to our own work in our articles? That's how we increase traffic to our articles!

I wrote an article and put a link to one of my other articles which is on a niche site. So, it's a link from Hubpages to a niche site. Now many are saying Hubpages looks bad to Google. Is this link going to be considered a "bad" one and affect rank in the search engine?

I have written a series of articles/essays under the title "The Cackleberry Farmer." Only the latest of around ten issues has been selected for "LetterPile" niche site. HP won't allow links to the other hubs in the series, and anyone reading the one on LetterPile won't really be...

Long time ago, we could put our hubs into categories. I can't find anything for that anymore. Can I write a hub that briefly details my ideas about business and capitalism and then link it to all my hubs in that category?I think I'm done with wrting about business and capitalism. They never do that...

I think I missed something here but have recently seen some discussions about in-text Amazon links v Capsules. How do you put in text links in, is there a special way? Do I just get the link that I get from Amazon when I go on there and choose the product? Or does this only work for people who have...

I understand the rationale for removing amazon capsules. I'm very careful not to include amazon capsules unless they are 100% relevant, and I can provide a personal opinion. I rarely do more than one per hub.HP is not only snipping amazon capsules on hubs for niche sites, but also just to have a...
