It seems not that every time you change anything at all on a hub it is unpublished and takes a day or two for it to go back up. I have two articles that were both featured and just forgot to turn the copyright on for. That was the only "change" I made so there were no textual or editorial changed made whatsoever that should warrant a complete review taking what is now over a day and going into a weekend. I had another taken offline when I tried to flip it then couldn't flip it because it was offline - a catch 22. Is there a way to prevent this from happening when you just notice something minor you want to change such as removing a word from your title (also unpublished and took 2 days to republish), changing the articles settings (such as copyright) or adding a word you notice missing in a sentence you didn't catch before? It seems like this can be a particular problem for those articles that are highly rated and which get the most page views since those are the ones that pull in the most income and taking them offline for 2 days could result in a financial loss (I haven't reached this point yet but still want to build my brand). It also seems that writers will be less likely to want to edit any of their featured articles if even minor edits or updates lead to 2 days offline. Thanks.
Natalie, I just found your question here today. I think hubs have a better chance of avoiding repeated QAP for every little change you make if you make it a stellar hub the first time.
I noticed when I commented a few days ago in you hub about money making hacks, that you were missing an author bio. I know you use it in some of your hubs, but not all. You should also make the bio show authority on the specific subject. Don't just make one generalized bio for all your hubs.
Your copyright was also missing, so I guess that's just another that you are avoiding fixing due to going unfeatured each time.
Try to tick off as many suggestions as possible at the top right corner when you're ending. That should help. Once they see you put more effort into every detail of a stellar hub, I believe your hubs should stay featured. You already do a great job, don't get me wrong. But it's the little things that count.
Is this something new they are doing? I've never had that happen. Sometimes I have so many 'senior moments' that I'll go in and change picky little stuff 4 or 5 times in a row the same day, or 2 or 3 days in a row, on the same hub.
They don't get unpublished; perhaps only unfeatured for...a little while...half a day or less, sometimes not at all.
I edited a ton of hubs this month and I haven't seen that either. If you think you have a technical issue you could email team@hubpages.com.

Lately, I have had 11 hubs unfeatured due to Quality Issues. I have assured my hubs do not contain grammatical or spelling errors. I have included relevant video and changed the titles and added new supporting texts and all this to no avail. The HubPages Staff continues to deem my hubs do not...

First off, my hubs are transferred from Squidoo, and I am aware of various issues there. I'd already checked and edited hubs after the transition, so this is all post transfer. What I don't understand is why some of my hubs get unfeatured after I've edited them? One even got...

I have 37 articles on PetHpful that are undergoing editing....AGAIN. This happens a lot. I'm expected to go into each article, read it, fix the mistakes the editors put into my articles, and repost the articles. I have other writing projects (book, book trailer) pending for my agent, and I don't...

http://blog.hubpages.com/2013/04/five-f … b-barrier/The new blog post that just went up today really caught my eye. The crux: "Until you have published five simultaneously-Featured Hubs, new Hubs that do not pass the Quality Assessment Process (QAP) will be unpublished rather...

HubPages is very firm in their rule to only use photos for which you have permission to use. Hypothetically, what happens if you break this rule? I've seen many people using images that are clearly not theirs to use and I was just wondering if this affects them in any way...
