Source name for the photos I take myself?

   I usually use the source name: E.g. Brittany Banks, CC-BY, Via Facebook.
   
   But I know there is an easier way to do this, because I am tired of having to upload the photos to facebook to get the source URL. If I take the pictures myself, what do I have to put for the source name?

      As a few others have mentioned, if the photos belong to you, there is no need to link to a source. If you wish to put all your photos under a creative commons licence so that others can copy and use them on their websites or elsewhere, you will need to include "CC-BY" but don't include a creative commons license unless you are ok with readers taking and using your photos.
      
      If you were the one who took the photos, you don't actually need to include any source info whatsoever because you own the copyright no matter what. However, we do recommend including your name just to let your readers know that the photos are indeed your own, because it will add to your credibility as an author.
      
      Hope that makes things a little clearer.

   You don't have to put anything if they are your own photos. If you like you can put (c) Brittany Banks in the source field, but there is no need to link anywhere. Uploading the photos to Facebook (or anywhere) just so you can add a link to your own pics is certainly wasted effort.

   Just upload them from your computer to your page. I wouldn't be mentioning Facebook all the time given that it helps nobody.

   You seem to be over-anxious about things.  Relax - even if you get something wrong, the worst that will happen is that your Hub will be unpublished (NOT deleted).  Then you'll be able to ask for our help to work out what went wrong, you can fix it, and publish it. 
   
   So, to summarise:
   
   You can only use photos that are legal to use.  That means photos that are marked Public Domain, or photos that say they are available under a Creative Commons license, or your own photos. 
   
   If the photos are available under any kind of licence, you must follow the rules for that licence, which usually means you must identify the photographer in the Source box and link to whatever site the photographer requires (note,that's usually the page the photo appears on, not the image URL).
   
   If photos are from a site which says "no attribution required", you don't need to show the source.  If photos are labelled Public Domain, you don't need to show the source.  If photos are your own, you don't need to show the source.  You can safely leave both the Source and the Source URL blank.
   
   However, I think it's a good idea to put something in the "Source" box, just so people know you didn't forget to fill it in.  So if the image is Public Domain, I'll type in Public Domain.  If it's from Pixabay, I'll type in Pixabay.  But I leave the URL blank.
   
   For your own photo, it's up to you.  You definitely do not need a URL so there is no need to publish the photo anywhere else.  You can put your name in the Source or you can just put a note on the end of the Hub saying "Photos are the author's own" or something like that.

      Sorry if I'm anxious. I just don't want to be wasting time linking photos to facebook when its much simpler than that. Sorry I'm in asking too many questions. I was raised by "No wrong question is the wrong answer."

   Absolutely Brittany. I remember being a nervous new Hubber not long ago, as there is a huge learning curve with this stuff. Never be afraid to ask questions in forums. It's why it's here and someone will always help out if you have a genuine interest. The fact is, it is a good thing you are trying to do things the right way here, as these are the things that help grow our site further in the future. Good luck!!

   I simply put, (if they are all my own photos), a small text box at the end, reading "all photos by author."  Since our author name is on all our articles, I don't find it necessary to re-state that.

   If I use my own pix, I just put "author" or "author collection" as the source.
