#45 proves he has no clue how international diplomacy and negotiations work.

North Korea has just launched another missile. Does this guy have anything better to do with his life? Hard to believe that South Korea.....
        — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 4, 2017

....and Japan will put up with this much longer. Perhaps China will put a heavy move on North Korea and end this nonsense once and for all!
        — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 4, 2017

Maybe Trump should tweet an animation of himself body slamming Xi Jinping to the ground in a simulated professional wrestling match.

Even if Donald Trump is not interested in diplomacy, he cannot possibly think this is a good strategy to either convince or intimidate these world leaders into making better decisions.

"trolling" or posting deliberately antagonizing and hateful comments on the internet, is an "addiction."

    Lile me posting on HP

Haha! At least you're not a troll.
But seriously, I'm beginning to think he'd intentionally trying to initiate international strife. Perhaps he wants a war. Perhaps he has no idea what he's doing. Almost any person could come up with a strong, assertive, yet unprovocative way of indicating zero tolerance for this type of action. He doesn't realize how much more intimidating he would be in that way. Right now he just looks like the average ranting fb troll.

Yes I am a troll because I keep coming back to HP and responding to the same RWNJs that populate HP.  If you go on the landing page of HP without browsing history, the stories that come up are horribly biased - and that's putting it nicely.

The only top two people (nonpolitical), who make money off of HP are the same featured 2 people month after month.  Featuring is part of the reason they are the top 2 people.

Are you assuming that the tweets' intended audience is international leaders?  Why?

    1. ptosis profile image69
ptosisposted 6 years agoin reply to this

And you are assuming it is for domestic propaganda only?  Which is perfectly legal and I'm was not commenting on that with OP.

wildernessposted 6 years agoin reply to this

No, no - the question isn't what I think; it is whether you think those tweets are intended for international leaders.  I asked because the first sentence in the OP seems to indicate that.

        Do you?

I don't seem to e getting through.  Here, let me repeat the question for you:

"...the question isn't what I think; it is whether you think those tweets are intended for international leaders."  Do you think the intended audience is foreign leaders?  Not my opinion, yours, "because the first sentence in the OP seems to indicate that".

How about this - you tell me what that tweet was intended for since it's obvious that you are contending that it is not for international leaders.

Do you think it was for domestic propaganda or international consumption - why won't you answer my question? At least I'm asking something that you can answer - what do you think? You already know what I think. It's fcking obvious what I think it was intended for - worldwide.

Thank you.  You indeed think Trump is trying to communicate with international leaders via his tweets; tweets that not a single foreign dignitary is likely to ever see (although they will get reports on it - reports which may be accurate and which may not).

I obviously disagree, for I think Trump is smarter than that - while you may believe he has an IQ of 50 I think it's considerably higher.  No, Trump's tweets are rooted (IMO) in several things - a thumb-at-nose the the media that spins everything he says.  He's side-stepping them entirely to give his side of things.  He's communicating with his followers, keeping them appraised of what he does and what he thinks.  Maybe even the man-in-the-street in Europe, Japan, etc. for all I know.  He's promoting himself as a hard worker, on top of things and he's campaigning for the next presidency.  And way down at the bottom of the list is giving the rest of the world a bit of taste as to the direction he intends to take, just as indication with nothing firm about where he's going.

That, of course, is what I think he's trying to do - whether he's successful or not is another story.  As is whether any impression (or "fact") he's giving is actually true.  Politicians do have a small tendency to promote an attitude, an impression, that they are whatever we want them to be. sad

Ok domestic propaganda mostly.... And international consumption.   I agree.

White supremist claptrap was well recieved in His Will to Survive Poland speech today. He should be feeling good about himself right about now.

"White supremist claptrap"?  To what do you refer?  Or is that just more Trumpophobe nonsense, trying to run him down for speaking truth you don't want to hear?

Trumpophobe? What does that even mean? How does that make sense?

    1. wilderness profile image94
wildernessposted 6 years agoin reply to this

Trumpophobe:  Common term for those that hate/fear the US President.  That have climbed into the mud pit, spinning and twisting everything the president says or does into something evil.

Example: An executive order banning travel from certain geographical locations known to harbor large numbers of terrorists bent on harming America and Americans (until such time as vetting becomes available) becomes a ban on any Muslims from entering the country.

Example: closing our southern border to illegal border crossings becomes a hateful ban on Hispanics entering the country.

Trump Troll:  white-male identity politics; feelings over facts.

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically

Example: Twisting facts I.E. the 6 months Temp Ban was to review and improve already in place vetting systems. 6 months later: No 'new' or 'improved' vetting procedures.
