What do you struggle with most when you try to lose weight?
Exercise? Nutrition? Lack of will power? TIme?
The most sensitive things you battle most with is your diet. not that you have to suffer yourself too much but you have to check what to eat and not to eat. do away with much spices food, can foods and take more of fruits and vegetables. with this i believe there would be changes.
motivation-I feel like I am fat and I do not like the way I look-so i know I should do something to change it. I am honest enought to admit the fact I need to loose some weight-I know that will involve excercise and changing my diet. I know what to do, I just can't seem to make myself do it.
When trying to lose weight I find that staying motivated and eating right are my biggest challenges. Although I eat in moderation, sometimes I will find myself in the line at the drive-thru. NO WAY DOES THAT HELP!!! Then I have to work harder to rid my body of that foolishness, which is not easy. Those foods make me feel as though I put 50 extra pounds on with just one "meal"! Why do I do it? IT'S DELICIOUS! So I fight that demon which seems to rear its ugly head in the middle of every month. You know why. I know why. I still have not discovered a means of combatting that. However, I will keep up the fight. I have lost weight. I am just trying to lose more. I am a person that is easily bored. Once the challenge is gone, then so am I. Sometimes I get bored with just trying to lose weight. But, that feeling isnt as strong as the other struggle I described. Thank goodness!
I think the most challenging thing is always being prepared with healthy food options. So time is probably the biggest problem for me, as well as not being forgetful. Often I forget my lunch, water bottle, vitamins or granola bars when I leave my house. Then I end up starving and choosing a not so healthy option. I try really hard to make sure that I have packed my food the night before, motivate myself to lug it around the city with me and have the groceries on hand to make appetizing food. I also try to incorporate my low cal foods with the foods my children eat, this way I can create a lifestyle (eventually after losing the weight, we will all eat the same things).
eating eating eating eating. Esp at times like this (past midnight, the house is quiet, everyone is asleep...you get the drift) Night time eating is my biggest problem. I am working on it. I find that when I have enough veggies, fruits, nuts beans legumes and water (and other sources of protein) then I don't the night time munchies. I think what you eat throughout the day makes all the difference. Unf. many of us are very busy and neglect to eat well throughout the day and then when the sun goes down......
Not allowing myself to give myself permission to neglect one of the most important aspects of my life and remembering that when my weight is optimally managed, everything else in my life can and will only improve.

Day 1/31: I have officially started my experiment. My hypothesis: if I eat 2 fruits, trail mix(mostly nuts, some marshmallows, raisins, MnM's, cheese nips, cereals), dinner(for every bite of meat, I eat 3 bites vegetables), drink only water and walk an hour everyday, then I will lose weight....
