Honestly the best way to tell a fake Coach handbag is to write down the serial number (should be an approx 3inch by 3 inch leather label inside with the number on it) and call the Coach 1-800 customer service number found at Coach.com, give them the number to find out if it is indeed authentic. Also the hardware should say Coach on it for instance the hardware that attaches to the bag.
You will know it's a fake "coach" at the stroke of midnight when the coach turns into a pumpkin, the footmen turn into mice, and the handsome prince starts to look for you with your glass slipper in his hand. Good luck, Cinderella!
