   Wouldnt be too experienced in answering questions like this.  There are so many self help book out there which are some help but there is no right or wrong way i dont think. I have attended a couple of creative writing classes and these teach you how to tap into your skills and develop them. Fiction writing is all about having an idea and growing it. Everyone has their own style of writing and I have been encouraged that there is no right or wrong way...
   Top 5 tips I have learned are
   1. Get an idea.
   2. Develop and expand through brain storming and planning
   3. Write, re write, re write
   4.leave it to settle if you are finished
   5. Last look over it and improve it again.

   not sure what to say here.... me, i find a problem, like what would happen if this occurred, how would people react, what kind of people would react in a specific way.  Then i write the bejeebers out of it, until the story writes itself.  Then I sit back, take a breath and look at it again, mostly for typos and grammer, then i put it online.  Yeah, I am an AMATEUR. hee hee. but I believe once the first word is on the page the story will reveal itself.  at least that is how it works for me. whether people like it or not, or read it or not, just doesn't matter.  It had to be told.  good question, still don't know if i answered it or not.

   to be succinct here:
   1: Bible - get the idea of your story and everything about the fictional world you are about to create down into a format yu can use for reference as you write.
   
   2: Chronology - Everything in order. It is possible to write sequences out of a particular order, use your bible to know where you were going to put your sequences.
   
   3: Minimize distractions - turn off the tv, have all of your tasks done, remain focused. Certain types of music to helpo influence what you are writing is highly recommended. This will come in handy when you go back through the entireity of your work to edit and streamline. Focus is the name of the game here.
   
   4: Continuity and consitency - dself-explanatory. I lump these two together because they are necessities and walk hand in hand. When you get started, you will see if your protagonist is a tough guy but suddenly turns into a little whiner, be able to explain why the sudden change, for continuity's sake aleady have explaind the change in consistency. See how that works?
   
   5: Use your imagination to it's fullest - your book is your baby. It's YOURS, don't let anyone deride your work or bring it down. Who knows, you might have just created the next new "thing" in literature?
