my female toy poodle is 2yrs old. She has never had a heat yet hom much longer?
why isn't she spayed? if you are not a professional breeder, it is very important that you spay her.. regardless of anything.
there are too many dogs on the streets and in shelters awaiting euthanasia for people to be breeding their own dogs jsut for fun or jsut because they want puppies to sell and make some profit off of.
please spay her! for the sake of the thousands of puppies who have been euthanized and who continue to be euthanized.

Or... you could be planning to let her have a litter so she matures fully. There is absolutely no harm in it, and I'm reasonably certain you wouldn't just dump the pups loose on the street to join gangs and raise all kinds of heck. People are usually more compassionate and aware than they are given credit for. Besides, professional breeder is another name for overpriced dog seller. Anyway, you'll wind up with a less excitable, less nervous dog. Just speaking from experience, having grown up in the country and having raised several different kinds of dogs.
Could she have hit her heat and you not noticed? How mild can that be? I would ask a vet, but I wouldn't worry about her. Does she have interaction with other dogs? I've seen cats get downright obscene when they go into heat, but most of the female dogs I've had have been pretty mellow. Its the males that get worked up.
Some dogs do not get in heat, it is a birth defect. Also like the others I would say have her get checked by a vet. Dont spray her even if there are many dogs out there on the street it doesn't mean you can enjoy a liter from your bundle of joy!
It is true that she may have a birth defect. It could also be that she is not toy size, and actually much larger. Standard poodles will take longer to mature. I would not recommend you to spay her until she is at least 3 years old, some females can suffer incontinence if neutered too early. But do consider neutering her if you do not plan to breed as the hormones when a female is on heat really drives them crazy to find a mate which is unfair to say the least.
