Why is so many illnesses taking over the lives of mankind? and so many dying without recovery.
I think that there are much more sick people living in this world than healthy people. Hospitals are filled and so many still cannot afford to pay for medical care.
Most of mankind's illnesses are of our own making. Instead of living in concert with Mother Nature and her laws, we keep trying to bend natural law to our own will. As a consequence, we drink polluted water, breathe polluted air, eat contaminated foods; and, have very little (if anything) left that is still in its natural, pristine state.
Then we make matters worse by consuming overprocessed, over sugared, oversalted, nutritionally deficient pre-packaged and/or fast food.
Remaining healthy is becoming a real challenge in today's society.
It's the sign of the times.Things will get worse before it gets better.
Many are dying without recovery because many sick people are not treated. That's because hundreds of millions of very young and elderly live in remote areas not easily serviced by doctors. Medicines sent to these areas are stolen and sold on the black market.
Another reason is that many diseases are mutating and no cure has been found yet. Consider also that global migration is rampant right now. Millions of people are crossing illegally into countries without being checked for diseases thus infecting countless other people. The dreaded ebola virus, confined to Africa, was recently found in Florida.
There are millions of people who do not have enough food. They subsist on foul drinking water, biscuits, and a handful of rice. The result is that their immune systems are not able to combat diseases like malaria, dysentery, and even plague.
Unfortunately, nothing is free. The medicines and bandages have to be manufactured, distributed, and then administered by trained doctors. If nobody pays for these things then eventually the hospital cannot buy more and sick people have to be turned away.
It's just the way nature works... if everyone survived there would be an even bigger overpopulation crisis. It happens in plants and animals too, when a population grows too high and there are not enough predators to keep them under control, a disease will often break out and cut the numbers. This is why agriculture requires so many chemicals to prevent fungus and diseases from killing what nature would consider a massive overpopulation problem.

It seem as if there is more acceptance of mental illness today but is that so?

Today at least 20 innocent people died while going about their daily lives. A 24 year old punk drove 10 hours to carry out his "mission" of hatred. Shortly before he entered a crowded store of people shopping for their children's back to school supplies, he posted a "manifesto"...
