    How many calories do you lose jogging in spot compared to jogging outside?

    Most people think that jogging in spot won't yield any of the same results that jogging outside would yield, but they're wrong. As long as you get your heart rate up to the same level you would when jogging outside, you'll get the same cardio effect. You won't, however, tone your body in the same way as you would when jogging outside. This is because you won't have any wind resistance to work against or any changes in terrain. You will burn a good amount of calories. But when you have to jog uphill, against the wind, on soft gravel, you're bound to burn more calorie in an hour than just jogging in place.

    how many calories you burn depends on your effort. But you burn more jogging outside because your using more energy e.g. going up and down hills burn more calories rather than staying at one spot.
    If you put the same effort to jogging outside as on the spot, you will get more out of it outside

    generally, humans use 1.3 calories per hour/per pound of body weight -based on the amp/ohm ratios -amp being motion, ohm the resistance. A 200 pound male should burn 252 Calories per hour on average. During a string workout, it should double.

    You should burn more if you are moving faster as there is more amplitude and resistance. But if you jump rope fast, it would have the same effect...essentially. James.
