   Why 4 weeks in hubpages yet no dime?
   
   I have on daily basis edited, answered, commented, asked questions and also added ads on my hubs yet when I checked all my affiliate earnings I found no dime!
   
   I feel like removing all those ads. Please someone advice me what to do.

   Editing Hubs, answering, commenting and asking questions all don't earn you anything. 
   
   It's a well-written, useful Hub with lots of traffic that gives the best chances for earning. You've only made five Hubs, and they all seem to be religious in subject.  Religion topics are among some of the lowest paying, so if money is your goal, you might consider changing your tactics and topics.

   You probably do want to mix things up a little. I'm probably the last one who should be talking. I haven't been here long myself. But everyone says it does take time, and we're both learning, frankly, that it isn't as easy as we might have thought it would be.
   
   But if you can widen the scope of your articles, different kinds of ads will be generated, and that might expand your potential readership, and then, maybe, possibly..... $$$$$$
   
   You'll feel better when you get that first AdSense. Then you will be a professional writer. You will have the right to call yourself a freelance writer and add that to your resume.
   
   Make no mistake. You will have the right to call yourself a freelance writer because, at that point, you will have begun to make money EXACTLY  the way the newspapers and other media earn their money - through advertisements, their beloved sponsors! Keep your eyes on the prize and keep on hubbing.

   Religious topics will not earn you much here. Maybe your own blog with lots of content on same topic i.e religion can earn you some dime. But don't expect much ads on religious blogs, sites or content. People don't waste time and money advertising on religious content. This is fact, so if you wish to earn money check other niches.

   Try to make a hub like entertainment or finance topic. It is the popular topic in search engine now a days and also sports if your sports minded. You can earn money from that topic. Finance have the highest paying rate in adsense revenue as what others said. Try it.

   It takes awhile for Google to sort things out as to indexing your hubs. It also takes Google some time to figure out what are the best ads for your hubs. Just give it time and keep writing those hubs!

   It took me 3 months on Hubpages to get my first ad click. Also, different keywords and ads related to them pay different amounts of money.
   
   Today I had one click that earned me $1.07 and I now average about 4 clicks/week. But I only have 11 hubs up.
   
   Be patient, learn more about adsense keyword dollar amounts and gear some of your topics towards higher paying keywords.

    The suggestions in this thread about diversifying your niches are right on and a great place to start. But there are a lot of other things you need to understand about HubPages if you really want to make some money here.     Be forewarned, however, that there's work involved. I support myself with my HubPages earnings, but it took a long time and a lot of work to make that happen. It's totally do-able, though, so hang in there.

    It takes more than four weeks to earn money. I am starting to earn money after 11 months and 11 hubs. Be patient and things will begin to happen when you have more hubs. Good luck.

    It's going to take time, hard work and patience. But once you have some great hubs in place you can also use them to make money outside of hubpages so long as you do it properly from the start. Find out about setting up your own website, backlinks and seo. That's my advice anyway.

    Patience.  I've been with adsense for 7 years and just got over $5. I got up to about $4 and was so upset, like you are now that I pulled all my websites and stuff down and gave up.  I only recently came back to it and have made about another dollar.  It takes about 1000 views to get a click, and traffic from hubpages probably doesn't count.  Google takes a few months to start sending traffic, but they generally click on the ads better.  Most of the hubs & answers I've read indicate about 3-6 months and 50-60 hubs are the turning point for starting to see the adsense revenue.

    Dude I'm at the same spot you are at. Something that I've heard and that I'm going to start trying is to make multiple Hubs on a certain niche. What I mean is if you want to write about a certain subtopic of art, then you want to make a few more Hubs about the same thing. Then include all the links of your Art Hubs in each Art Hub so that you "trap" your audience in your Hubs. Someone's bound to click on an ad at some point. Also, with keywords, make them specific - if you try to trick people into clicking your articles, they will see that it's not what they are looking for and will leave immediately.

    It's true editing Hubs, answering, commenting and asking questions all don't earn you anything, if "anything" is defined as money.  However, if you want to drive traffic to your HUBs so that you can earn money, it doesn't hurt to answer a question or make a comment.  The answers and comments earn you new friends with a healthy respect for you because they appreciate that you took the time to respond to a matter they thought important enough to ask or to write a HUB about.  I'm saying that because that's how I felt when people start commenting at my HUBs.  I write for Suite101 and SQUIDOO and so help me, I feel like I'm speaking into a void!  No comments, feedback, questions.  Do I even exist?  I find that most people here in the HUB community have an attitude of helping each other out, so that we all can make some money.  Sure you have to work at it to earn money?  Are you busy doing something else and you don't have time?  Cause it is time consuming and it will probably take time for others to know you're here.  But speaking for myself - I had nothing but free time - so I found some work from home projects to earn money.  Any HUBBER who has stayed here will tell you 4 weeks is not a long time.  But I will specifically tell you, HUBPages is a great place to gain some writing experience, converse and get ideas and support from others, and make some extra money too.  So if you have the time, take the time.

    You have to keep in mind that there are millions of folks trying to make "a dime" on the Internet, the competition is fierce. If it were simply a matter of just showing up, writing a few hubs and sitting back to wait for the money flow then everyone would be quitting their day job (of course, then the whole thing would fall apart, but I digress).
    
    You have to see what the competition is doing in your niche and ask yourself if your work is equal or above theirs? You have to understand how SEO works in order to bring your work bubbling up from the bottom. Finally, you have to try different things all the time to see what clicks, what doesn't, and if you can, figure out why in both cases.
    
    Hubpages can only provide the infrastructure and the learning tools (with both they have done a terrific job!). It's up to you to make the content that will bring in the views (and clicks).
