Should Marijuana be decriminalised in all states of America?
Should The possession and private use of Marijuana be decriminalised in the States. Is using this stuff such a crime worthy of being punished by imprisonment? I would be interested in what other hubbers think about this?
NO anything that comes from the earth, is good as long as it is not abused. Marijuana does a lot of good for people in pain and for people with cancer.
Yes but herion comes from the poppy, and coacaine comes from the cocus plant. Are these ok if they are not abused? Im not arguing for the sake of arguing, just trying to get a debate going.
Yes. Arizona is voting the November on medical marijuana - but yet want to charge an luxury tax for this medicine for real health problems.
It is outrageous to put such a heavy tax on a medical need, but it the social stigma that views addictions as totally different than any other health problem.

No, it is no one's business. Criminalization of drugs is the Christian conservative equivalent of Muslim prohibitions of drugs and alcohol. Christians who bash Islam (justifiably) are hypocritical.
BTW, Christian sharia law has often been enforced, even in the U.S. E.g., "blue laws" and "prohibition".
Now, as to the supposed "social evils" of drug use. If someone is idiot enough to abuse, that is his problem. If someone is dependent on a drug user, that is their problem.
But the religious bit about "brothers keeper" seems to be the justification for everyone butting in to everyone else's business.
there is two sides to this arguement.
the first is the side of the taker they say that is should be legalised because it would mean that there wouldn't be crime around the drug. they also use the people with cancer in their arguement they say it helps people with cancer to stop feeling the pain which i have heard is true but on the other hand
the police and none users say it is harmful and if people can get hold of it and use it with no law enforcment then people will die because of it. So there is the arguement.
i definatley side with the none users and it should definatley be illegal.

You know what sort of debate I'd like to see? One with instant fact checkers, a buzzer that goes off when they lie, and a microphone that switches off when their time is up. And I would like to see them address the real issues like.1. The Homeless2. Hunger In America3. All Our Jobs Being Sent...
