Do you think  it is important to have an attractive profile pic? Does it catches your attention?

Which attracts you the most a person's own pic or anything that is attractive?

Most certainly - it is part of your brand identity.  Only a few established Hubbers and brands such as Habee and Google can morf their logo/profile pic and still be recognized.

Profile images definitely catch my attention and yes, I think it is important to have a representative profile pic. Still, I am most attracted by the content.

It depends. You might have the most attractive profile pic and the suckiest hub content on the face of the planet. In order to be attractive on both levels, you need both a good image and a good reputation as a hubber.

What attracts me the most on a person's profile is the content in the hubs. and not the picture.

No, because you could look like Brad Pitt, and still have crappy hubs. Your photo is not going to make me follow you. If what you have written enlightens, engages, or is moving, would catch my attention first smile

A little eye candy never hurts to catch someones attention... though it's the content of the hubs that KEEPS their attention.

Personally, I appreciate people posting (what we assume are) their actual pics, to me it adds a touch of honesty to their profile, put a face to the name as opposed to some random avatar.

The content is most important. The person's own pic is maybe better than a pic of a dog or cat, though I admire thos animals very much.

I recently signed up for Hubpages, so my opinion is coming from the view point of a first time user. I read my first hub today. It was about the hubpages "no follow" policy. I assumed the user was some internet guy. I quickly noticed the user picture because it was a very attractive female. It completely got my attention and changed my assumptions about who wrote the post.
