That is a true saying in a way.  In life you will never get 'Nothing' as in 'something' for 'Nothing'.  Life is all about give-n-take. Example -

    (1) We have been created to serve and obey our Creator (Allah/God).
    (2) Our parents give birth to us, it brings them joy and extends their family chain.
    (3) We grow up and learn, through education and life experience all of which comes at a cost.
    (4) We make friends that brings us joy and happiness (give-n-take) and so on.

There are things that appear to be free. Free advice comes to mind. If one uses it wisely, comtemplating the consequences attached, it doesn't work out to be something for nothing.  Love can be given freely, but again there are usually consequences.  A lot of things are free for the taking, but when you take them, you have the responsibility that comes with it.  Therefore, your assertion is correct. Everything has a price of sorts

Yes i believe the saying much.

Everything has a price to pay. Everything has it's advantages and disadvantages.

#1. We attain education somtimes free but we must give back something in return to suceed

#2. We serve God and he blesses us in return we must continue to praise him for God help those who help themsleves. If we only want to recieve from him and not give then things will start going downwards.

#3. We have the access of the internet it has good and evil. The good is we can communicate, find out almost anything from it. On the other hand it leads some astray on various chat sites etc.

#4. Almost everything "they say" can give you cancer, the microwave, computer, cells, utensils etc. Yet they are of ease for us but have disadvantages.

    Hope i answered well enough.

    God bless

Why yes, I believe it is true. No matter what it is we do, or how little comes from it, we are always richer for the experience.

Also, as a neopagan, I believe that we are all children of the earth and should rejoice in her bounty daily. She does not want worship, just love and care.

    Kind regards

    Goes hand in hand with,

"If it looks too good to be true it probably is. "

Interesting question.  After reading the book "When God Winks at You" I began to understand that should be a true saying.  The only thing is we have so much going on in our lives that we don't always connect the dots of random occurrences and so forth.  If that's the case, nothing would be just nothing.  But if we sat and thought about all the little "nothings" in our lives, we would realize they led up to something, even if something was nothing we wanted.
