Depending on how bad your acne is, there are different steps you can take to control it. For example, if your acne is particularly bad and long-lasting, you can obtain certain medication prescribed from your doctor. My friend used it and it worked like a charm smile.

However, if it's just typical acne i would suggest, like Anti-Valentine, to drink lots of water to keep skin hydrated. Also, i would recommend other drinks such as green tea (i have a hub about green tea and other super foods - check it out if you're interested) as they're full of antioxidants. Apart from that, just a consistant, healthy diet with relatively low sugar i think. Oh, and oil-free creams and moisturisers, tea-tree stuff too big_smile...although i warn you, it dries your skin out so either use sparingly or very quickly. Hope this helps.

If it is mild acne, and doesn't need a prescription, then try not touching your face.  Your hands carry a lot of bacteria.  For occasional blemishes, I have found that tea tree oil works great to heal them.  It is best to try tea tree oil out on your arm first, because it is strong for some people, especially with sensative skin.  Don't wash your face too much, that was a problem I had for a long time.

I don't get acne know more except maybe two pimples once a month, due to hormones. But I did some pretty weird stuff, to try to get rid of them. But I won't post it, because some of it did work, but I won't recommend it. Just wash, with mild soap, use a mild toner, and put moisturizer twice a day.

I tried bleach, white toothpaste, mud, alcohol, anything, because regular over the counter medication didn't work. I had real bad acne, and my mother was always after me to pop my zits, and I didn't want to. But she made me, so I began to experiment with stuff, so I didn't have to. I was young when my acne first started, and was bad. 11 yrs old until I was 19. Then after moving away from home it went away. I believe  mine was do to stress more then likely.

I use origins spot remover when I do get a zit. I eat pretty healthy. For serious acne, wash the receiver on your phone often, it has a lot of oils on it. Wash your face twice a day with mild soap, I use Dove. Don't ever sleep with makeup on. Use makeup that is oil-free. I use Physicians Formula Organic wear Makeup.

I've never really had acne, but I've known teens who do.  One thing that's important is not to irritate the skin with too much scrubbing (either with rough towels or too much cleansing).  Sometimes I'll just wash my face three times to "really get it clean", and I'm almost guaranteed of developing a little problem after doing that.

My son has just been to a specialist about his acne. He said that the latest thinking is that diet has little to do with acne.

Try using Tea Tree Oil Liquid Cleanser (soap free).  Yes, drink plenty of water. This would keep you hydrated and let you overcome having too much clogged up pores.

    How about a detox?
I can eat healthy for a week, a month, drink lots of water, fibrous foods,  then I eat 1 scoop of ice cream or a small chocolate bar and whammo..it appears somehwere that I do not apply Proactiv or anything else, like a big oozy one on my neck or center of my chest.  Believe me, it it finds a spot always
