Have you ever seen an apparition right in front of you?

I like the thrill of getting freaked by ghosts, like in good documentaries, but I believe the mind sees what it wants to.

YES.  One of my most amazing and memorable experiences.  It occurred in Scotland in Greyfriar's Kirkland.

Yes.....well....i don't know. To this day i will deny that i saw a ghost because i don't believe in ghosts, but i cant ignore the fact that i saw something strange. It occurred when my ex-girlfriend and i were in San Antonia. We stayed at the St. Anthony hotel which is about 2 blocks from the River Walk. We were returning to the hotel around 11:00pm, and as we were walking to our room, i had that "feeling" that i was being watched. I turned around and there was a man walking towards the elevator that we had just gotten out of...his back was turned to us, but i could tell that he was wearing old clothing (vest, bowler hat, slacks, a dangling chain..perhaps a pocket watch). I nudged my ex and told her to look at the guy because i thought he looked funny. When we both turned back around he wasn't there. I never heard a door open though (to the elevator or any of the rooms). I found out much later that the St. Anthony is considered one of the most haunted places in Texas.

I had an experience in Charleston, SC. It changed my life. I wrote a hub about it. Here it is...

Great stories. I had an experience once, I think. I was driving on a rainy night in Florida and I saw a man in the middle of the road wearing an old brown suit. He was about ten feet in front of me when I saw him, then I passed by him and didn't see him when I turned my car around. I was going to offer a ride, but I couldn't find him. I shrugged it off for a while and then one night some family members of mine said they almost hit somebody on the way home, then they described what he was wearing and said they saw him in about the same area.Their encounter happened two months after I saw him. I can somewhat relate with netslums on this one though, because like I told my wife...unless it comes up to me and slaps me in the face I just don't believe. I want to, but I'm a big sceptic on this topic.

Yes I have, and I have always been that person that thought they didn't exist, when I was walking to school one dark morning, there was one that just sat and stared at me, then dissipated when I saw the streetlight through him. Was definitely a scary moment!
