Does poetry have a place on hubpages?
I've seen a collection of poems here on hubpages, so I was wondering if there are any rules about
I don't see why it shouldn't be included. I don't read or write it, but I think that's the great thing about the internet. You can find your niche and gain recognition and rewards based on how well others who are interested in the same thing respond to it.
As far as I know hubpages allows and encourages poetry.
I believe so long as the content of the poetry falls within a particular catagory, all is well. I am new to this myself, hope I helped.
I have started writing poetry and adding it on my HUBS ...no objections so far even though its not very good...Im still learning !!
To some extent it does. If you want to publish poems then sure you can do that. But if you want to earn money online then you probably won't earn much from poems. HubPages is primarily an article platform really.
You know what? why not.? I do it and Im sure there are others. I do a little photography and poetry so I put them together. Good luck.
i have many poems on my hubs . i want to share with you .No problem go a head and write poems.
Thank you all for your input. I'm hoping I get others to enjoy my work.
The rule that would be most pertinent in answering your question would be follow the rule that says to publish poetry in its relevant section - poetry
Of course poetry has a place on hubpages. The problem that you could have is your expectation level when it comes to earnings. Sometimes poetry just isn't likely to draw the highest pay per click ads from the contextual advertising Adsense god.
They do.
Not being a poet..........I am not certain, but I do think they have their own category.
Even if I should be wrong...........why should a fellow writer dismiss another's outlet?
We all come here for expression.
I'm planning on possibly doing the same myself. I'll see how it goes I guess.

Just wondering...I write poetry because I enjoy it, but I wonder if it's possible to make any money with them. The advice I get is to write "evergree" stuff that will attract readers for a long time. I don't think my poetry is evergreen!

One of my friends who is a poet had created a Hub Pages account in hopes to share her poetry with others. She published a number of poetry hubs that included her poetry and appropriate images but they became unpublished with warning messages. I don't remember what they were exactly but I do...

I would like to publish some of my original poems on Hubpages. However, I am unsure if they comply with the Hubpages quality standards, such as minimum word count, variety of capsules, etc. However, I was told that Hubpages supports creative writing.Would my poems flourish here on their own, or do...

John writes an exciting series of poems on seasons. Each poem not only captures the vagaries of every season but also introspects the poet's mood that changes from winter to Spring. Thanks, John, for sharing this beautiful set of poems. They are a fantastic response to Brenda's week 56 prompt,...
