As I understand it, you are assigned a Hub score. If you receive moe comments, the score of your Hub goes up. I am receiving more comments but my score has gone down.

I am sorry to place this here but I can't ask questions on my question page, it doesn't work.

Do any of you have trouble communicating with the administration, I find it impossible.

I just recommend writing more about your passions. I am not sure why my author score is where it's at, but I continue to just have fun at HubPages and it seems to increase.

Edit: I took a look at your hubs. I recommend writing longer hubs offering more information. I notice that hubs that have 800-1000 words do better not only score-wise, but in the search engine. A picture always helps, too. At first none of my hubs had pictures and now they all do, even if they aren't directly related to the topic. I've noticed more people checking out my hubs and becoming fans of mine. I also recommend writing less argumentative hubs. Instead of flinging mud at one side, I recommend just building up your side using fact and relevance without telling people they are wrong for their beliefs.

Editing, grammar and spelling......problem. You must have seen my profile stating that I have MS. I have a very bad case of chronic-progressive MS. Therefore I have almost zero stregnth to lift my arms and my fingers gnarl. Not to mention my eyes are bad, so certain things can't change. I do thank you for the tips, if I can stay awake maybe I can make them longer.

I can't help writing on the same topic. Obama is on TV everyday and I HATE everything he stands for. Even the media needs to go back to school, there is more than one side to a story.

So become a fan, I will be like our President. Anything you or your union wants, you get.

Just to give you peace of mind, don't worry about your hubscore. If you're here to write, then you're doing a good job. If you're here to make money, then look to some of Darkside's or Mark Knowle's hubs for advice. Hubscores as good as yours are just fine and getting them higher won't buy you anything.

If I was here for the money I would figure out how to sign up to do so, I write for fun. Who needs money, we have Obama.

    sure ill reply,

getting a comment does not equal increased hub score that is merely one factor

traffic to your hubs is probably decreasing

out of all teh little factors thats probably the only one worth concerning yourself with

whether you just want to be read or to make money an ever increasing vistor count is necessary

Thank you very much, but if you get traffic why would the score go down?

Harvey, Hubs that are considered "useful" and "informative" do best.  So do Hubs with other stuff (pictures, links to relevant information, videos, etc.)  Hubs that are a little longer than yours seem to be probably do better.  These "rules" don't always apply to all Hubs.  Sometimes one will do well in spite of "breaking one or more of the rules", but in general the above are the things that get a better score for any Hub.  Then other things go into a person's HubScore (activity, etc.)

If you're writing for fun you shouldn't worry about the score. It's not like your author HubScore is 50 or anything like that.  HubScores go up and down a few (or several) points all the time.
