I always watch the news when I can. Need to know what's going on in the world you know.

definitely. i think that came with my growing up and my realization that breaking news occurs all too often not to make sure you're aware of it. its nice to know whats going on around you instead of being absolutely clueless on what your own society has been dealing with.

I try not to watch the news because of how much negativity in the world that the news shows. Yes it is being ignorant I guess you could say; but its very upsetting to watch.

No -- but then, I've always had my "news watchdog" out there (i.e. husband) who spends a couple of hours a day trolling the online news channels. He gives me the condensed version of anything important going on in the world.

Much less, because I am not that interested in Charlie Scheen or Japan.

I only watch the news if somebody tells me something big has happened. I don't buy news papers either.
Call me ignorant but ignorance is bliss.

Very much. It's because of the threat that we received saying that we will be experiencing chemical mixed rainfall due to nuclear problem from Japan.

Why would i subject myself to information that is not really news?
It is just what the corporate sponsors want you to hear. The information systematically leads you into a deep trans.

I always watch the news, but not just the mainstream news I watch the independents as well because I don't always believe what we're shown or told.
