I was just told a hub from last july needs revision, why now ?

am I missing something or does it seem strange that a hub I wrote when I first started on here is now not acceptable?

HubPages has currently be doing a lot of updates and changes to their website especially how content is placed in the hubs. New changes such as you cannot have a Amazon, eBay, or comment capsule in the first part of your hubs, you need to have 50 words in your hub per Amazon or eBay product. These are a few changes that have given thousands of hubs that review message.

Hubpages are making sure the whole of Hubpages community complies with their new policies and original terms of services effectively and continue to write original content that adheres to quality standards and rules.

It's happened to me, but it's a neccessity!

When the rules change, so must we, even if it is post-facto. Unless of course we publish on our own medium. But when in Rome...

What was considered "acceptable" for a Hub was different last July than it is today, now that some standards have been changed.

Meh... Hubpages is not above being influenced by the latest fashions and trends.  The styles of last summer are SO out these days...

Oh... you probably should just listen to the guy with the cute little "e" on his pic...

Hi nightwork, don't worry as almost everyone received those notices to revise hubs in accordance to the new HP rules.  I got two of my "older" hubs tagged for revision too.  I said older because I've just been here four months.  Here is the forum announcement thread about the changes.  Have fun!

They're truly throwing down the gauntlet with me. I'm being accused of everything from spam, excessive promotion, inapropriate content, etc. Can't help but feel someone has my number. I've had to revise numerous Hubs and have watched my score tank in the mean time.
